I do think they should try to patch it and fix certain sections that are very off from the source if at all possible. I know it's a rush job because there was outsourcing. But not listening to your audience who are pointing out errors that can be misunderstood is not a good look. It's not hard to go back and try to fix broken sections real quick and try to make it flow a bit better for accuracy. It also helps the reputation as a whole.

So they settle for 3 cents a character working on porn powerpoints. I would say yes because it pays more, but i do not think VN Companies as a whole pay badly either and do not have a strict work schedule like Video Game companies do with translating JP into English.

I do not mind if they are or not, so as long as it's accurate, it's better to be neutral than to allow bias to come into the equation of translation. Video Games industry has it much worse where it's not only there, but it's encouraged as "localization" when it's just plagiarism.

I would argue that there should be a code of ethics, which technical work does entail to prevent bias and to enact much more scrutiny as a whole in order to prevent censorship or their own views getting in the way of the translation itself. Better pay and better working conditions can be negotiated on top of this fact.

Last Run no only gives you a second half for each and every main route, doubling the content/text, the second half of each route actually has character development and romance instead of mostly train shit no one cares about. For Hachiroku for instance it explores her desire to become a mother. It also explores the concept of death for Raillords while also expanding upon the Raillord lore with detailed background info on how Raillords came into existence. LR actually made Hachiroku my favorite lol of all time. The other routes also got far superior second halves with many new loli characters. Moreover Niiroku got her own bittersweet prequel route, exploring how she became so emotionally detached and broken in the main game. It made me cry. Also the Grand Route (true ending route) has been completely rewritten, this time giving Sotetsu closure for his trauma. It completely focuses on his wounds of the past. Lastly there is the AMAZING China epilogue route, where Sotetsu, Hachiroku and his sister go on a business trip, which is as long as a normal route in the base game.

In other words:

Maitetsu -> 7/10
Maitetsu Last Run -> 10/10
