Chima's performances have really come a long way. This is making me nostalgic for when she had her first 3d live. Her singing wasn't so strong, her voice was wavering out of nervousness, and she cried her eyes out. She waited longer than many other colleagues. Yet here she is tonight with a strong stage presence, a large audience, and it's easy to see that she has really grown as a performer.

Why not go to your music streaming platform of choice, find one of the explore options (such as the Tuner function on YTM or the Radio function on Spotify), and just let the algorithm take you somewhere else? On the YTM tuner I know you can set both artist variety and music discovery to high, and it should play you a lot of new stuff that you haven't heard before. Not sure how Apple Music does it but I heard their algorithm is pretty good too.

One Man Live just means that only one singer or unit is the focus of the live. Since Albemuth is the Aru + Asu unit, they can perform together in a one man live, as long as unit songs are the focus of the show. It is the same how KMNZ or VWP can have a one man live even so they are groups. Two Man Live "Albemuth" was more focused on the two singers as individuals (Aru & Asu portion), so it's unfortunate that they used the unit name as the live name. A similar example would be the Singularity two man lives, where Jou performed, then RIM, and then some songs together. Since this is a one man live, you can assume most songs will be unit songs. There may be a solo or two in there, but I wouldn't count on it too much.

Yes and no. Utattemita as a genre is still partial to vocaloid, but I think it's been less and less over time. For example, Ado advertising cover challenges on songs like Show, these kinds of things really take off now. So plenty of utaite are just covering whatever Japanese music they like. Also, as web culture changed, a lot of people got into the unfortunate habit of short covers.

Another thing I guess is important to mention, is many vocalo p either becoming singer-songwriters themselves, or just writing for utaites and vtubers directly. Kanzaki Iori, Tatsuya Kitani, Kenshi Yonezu just to name a few P who have moved mostly past their P days. And now focused on singing and songwriting. These type of artists also get posted here.

If you've been out of the scene for over five years, a lot of the names are different. Plus, vtubers became a thing and many utaite just became vtubers or vtuber hybrid. Some old ones are still around and kicking, like Hanatan and nayuta are past 15 years each now.

That's been a thing for a while already, though. Hibikase had a dual utaite and vocaloid official release, but my impression of it has always been "Reol first, Miku second" in terms of how it was put together. There are probably others that precede it, but it's the most notable off the top of my head. Now, if you're also implying that the Ps skip the vocaloid version altogether, then that is kind of lamentable. In general, the vocaloid songs I listen to are going to be some sort of human cover, but I also use the vocaloid version as a reference to gauge how much liberty the cover version took.

Around the time I stopped following, the vocaloid scene was already in decline or at least stagnating. It was cranking out less hits than it did on its heyday. I'm curious about how the utaite scene fared while I wasn't looking because a significant number of utaite covers used to be vocaloid songs, and I don't know whether that is still the case nowadays. Vtubers are entirely foreign to me. I associate the term with animated 3d avatars and that's about it.

I don't think the Vocaloid scene is stagnating, I think it's as healthy as ever. This is just me speaking anecdotally. There are new Vocaloid songs for me to listen to every day, the technology continues to advance, and more and more people get exposed to vocaloid through modern media. I think Vocaloid is great because it gives young musicians a low barrier of entry to producing tracks with "vocals." Look at all the popular Japanese music now that started from people songwriting through Vocaloid (n-buna, Hachi, etc). Sure, Vocaloid isn't fresh and new anymore, but the children of today are the P's of tomorrow.

Vtubers are an important part of the new utaite ecosystem, as they are often singing the same type of music that would be sang by a more traditional utaite. It's also another opportunity for those that would like to maintain privacy to keep it, while showing more of themselves. Even so nayuta and Hanatan still hold their concerts live on stage with an audience, they both got models which they use for streaming and other YouTube content. It gives a more immersive experience than listening to a stream with a static screen.

Today's vtubers are focused on streaming content (overall), but that's not what I personally focus on. I also don't really care if someone is a vtuber or not, I'm just here for the music. Their presentation is not important to me. My favorite virtual singers do have 3d models, but their primary focus is on music production. The model is just one means of delivering that content.

This is still the case, but the percentage may be less as utaite activities became more mainstream and YouTube focused. To be honest I only check NND during big events now a days. But look at the daily song posts in this thread as an example. I checked the covers here >>45277758 and more than half of them are vocaloid (9 of 14).

I feel like I had a point at some time while I was writing but I have no idea what that point was.

Hi anon...well I really like the jpop electro era especially Aira Mitsuki and saori@destiny. After their label cancelled, Aira Mitsuki released one more (great) album in 2017 then disappeared. Saori is still going strong and we have a small group of fans who like their quirky electro music. So this is a tribute to her, and yes other anon is right that this is my channel. It’s impossible. /vsinger/ has turned into a link dumpster and Riot shilling. Thank you. Levi's register is too high, alas. You can tell depth doesn't come to her naturally. To add some clarity, I'm looking for singers whose voice would match my mental image of my wife, ideally those who've sung songs that have already been adapted to MMD dance motions. (96neko is perfect most of the time when she isn't busy pulling off a guy's voice, but Sor△ sang some songs better, such as Yokubari.) The other two fit pretty well.

I did hear of Ado around last winter, even got inspired to trace a dance for Giragira, but the process of tracing instead of creating from scratch was too mind-numbing, so I didn't even get to 2 minutes out of 4-plus and haven't been able to muster the mood to continue since May.

KOKO is a hit or miss for my purposes, I have actually planned to use her ECHO cover in a multi-singer mix since spring. Rene hits more often but tends to go overboard with the "street bad girl" vibe, which is usually not what I want. Ryushen is decent and, importantly, highly productive but does the guy voice too well, too often. Yomi is alright, a shame about the mixing in so many songs and the repertoire. The rest aren't it.

I don't expect the behavior of psychopaths from a small indie in a classical music relay.

I remember listening to a few professional piano musicians streaming in the past from before a time vtubers were popular.
They could do incredible things even for improvisation.
It was the result of a great amount of time doing training and the habits from the amount of time spent playing.
With piano you have muscle memory if you prepare a piece for a long time, and can reproduce a similar performance without remembering it consciously.

It's different from the other instruments because it requires more preparation.
You have multiple notes in parallel and can't usually just play it from reading it for the first time like other instruments.
Maybe the training ceiling is higher.

I never reached that level so I can't tell how they do it.
I remember that my musician neighbor who was playing in an orchestra complained to my music school because I played the piece I was preparing for a local school organized concert too much.

I don't know for others but before I played something before others I probably trained it for thousands of times.
You can't make mistakes from muscle memory that easily.

Anyway Yuka had an overly productive first 8 months of the year, and a relatively quiet Fall. I wonder what she has in store next for us. Just my guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if the next live event is not until her birthday. Riot used to give 100k celebrations (at least at one point, for sure Saki had one), but I'm not sure if they do that anymore. And she's already at 118k now, so I doubt it. The only other chance is if there is some sort of Christmas/NYE event. She put out like over 20 original songs this year (including OACL), so I can't really complain if we don't get some more for a while.

Copyright infringing videos may not be viewable in certain territories and not eligible for monetization. Only the video with copyright claims will have these issues, but your channel can proceed as normal. I can tell you from experience that many karaoke vods do get copyright claimed. But it's no big deal.
The only time it matters is when you are a new channel applying for monetization, because if you have too many claimed videos then you may not be eligible for monetization. For this reason, I know some streamers who have privated their karaoke streams when applying for YT monetization.
But Kotone has been monetized for years so this is all really a non issue. The best rrat I've seen is that it has something to do with her record deal. Because it's the only believable one in my eyes.

If the video is unlisted, it would remain on your playlist, so that's not what happened to you. It's really not ideal, but there is a way to see what was deleted or removed from YouTube. If you see the warning in the top right "Unavailable videos are hidden," then you can click on the three dots and click "Show unavailable videos."

When you get to the (now visible) unavailable videos, you can still get the video ID. You will then have to use the video ID to retrieve the name of the original deleted video. Of the five, I think Jou has the most versatile voice, while KAF has the most unique. All are decent in their own right, but I think Harusaruhi gets the least support, so she has the weakest catalog of originals. It all depends on your tastes as well, with Haru leaning towards hip hop and Koko leaning towards J-rock. My favorite content from Haru is probably her Cream Puff Lives, and I'm really looking forward to the new RIM album this month. Here's a recommendation for each witch, if you feel inclined. Her strength of character and fun personality would make her a perfect fit for 4chan and it's likely that she spent a lot of time on the Japanese equivalent from an early age.
