Ironically Mangagamer now seems to have run into this problem with Luckydog1.

They didn't find out the translation was shit until after they announced it and made a big deal over how they acquired the web translation. However because the translation was public, anyone could check the work. And it was shit tier. Comments were also dug up from the translator where they spoke of other series they wanted to translate, despite the fact that some were too difficult for them and they couldn't completely understand/read them.

To try and save face they've gone quiet on the project other then one MG team member going "it's not dead!" every few months on twitter. It was announced almost 5 years ago now.

Sumaga and Django have been deprioritized.

JAST staff have also teased that Nitro+ is the reason we haven't gotten Kishin Hishou Demonbane.

Koihime Musou was fine. It was an easy fix to add back in voices and enabled the company the license something that otherwise would've been absurdly expensive and risky.
