I doubt they will. Hello Lady was a Eng/Ch release (which means the chinese sales go to Hikari Field) and only 25% of the reviews are in English. The numbers weren't all that impressive either considering they were working on it for 3+ years.
https://steamdb.info/app/1751630/graphs/
Compare that to Koikari, a moege, which was an English only release with 70% of the reviews being in English (not that it matters since Nekonyan get all the sames because Hikari Field aren't involved) and also a higher peak player count.

sjw is the only hope of saving industry from moebuta
sjw should target moege as problematic rape connotation inducing experience
with shit like girls saying no and yamete in h scenes as if it's normal
and all that minors sexualisation
translating moege should be considered as bad as transophobia and pedophilia nowadays
>>39679080

moege capitalism needs to end

>> No.39679149

>>39679080
It's more a bad spiral really. It's easy to get a cheap "cute girls" thing to sell, so those are dominating, scaring of people who care more about the story. Even if somehow they play one they like, it's fast to run into a moege again.

It's a hobby you need to invest a little into to get into it. Oldfags like me got into it around the time, there basically weren't moege in the west. You had the fan translations, largely focusing on plotge, and the few commercial releases were either nukige or something like ever17.

Kizuato is probably too old to sell well even if it did get picked up and isn't as known as other Leaf titles like WA and Teninai, Kusarihime is also too old and it's clear that MG don't want to do any of Liar-soft's denpa/hard to translate stuff.

Given that there's extremely few storefronts with any level of traffic, you're basically limited to JAST, MG, and Steam. The only reason developers put their titles on any storefront other than that is because A: They're paid to, or B: because the 20 sales they get from that storefront is worth the 20 minutes of time needed to submit the title to the storefront.

Yuzusoft has average numbers for most of their releases with Sanoba doing above average and Senren doing below average. Assuming we're just counting the western sales. They're massive in china with anywhere from 75% to 95% of the sales being chinese for their titles.

Most high profile JAST titles pull the same numbers, a few of MG's high profile titles pull the same numbers. Assuming we're excluding outliers like Go Go Nippon and Nekopara, VN's will normally hit 1 of 2 brackets. Either nobody buys the title (<200 copies sold) or roughly ~2,500 sales occur. Generally it doesn't exceed that range unless you have a chinese translation in which case you can usually triple those previous sales numbers.

It's something I found rather weird, that there's rarely a fluctuation in excess of 25% across various titles of multiple companies on Steam specifically. My best guess is the titles hit the algorithm which pushes visibility onto the title and thus gets sales and the titles that sell like shit simply weren't propagated by the algorithm.

Let's put that to the test and check the numbers of English reviews for steam titles.
Senren Banka: 466
Sanoba: 498

Now some JAST titles.
Majikoi: 64
Flowers 3: 63
Totono: 791
Togainu no Chi: 119
Saya no Uta: 737
Sweet Pool: 129
Flowers 2: 70
Eiyuu Senki 154

On to MangaGamer.
Room Number 9: 114
Higurashi Ch 8: 224
Ciconia: 233
Hashihime: 159
Higurashi Ch 7: 193
Amrilato: 88
Steam Prison: 189
Funbag Fantasy 1: 83
Kara no Shoujo: 113
Evenicle: 731
Higurashi Ch 6: 244

Let's do Sekai Project as well.
9 -nine- 4: 103
Nekopara Vol 4: 1,525
9 -nine- 3: 75
Baldr Sky: 225
How to Raise a Wolf Girl: 117
Nanarin: 104
9 -nine- 2: 118
9 -nine- 1: 141
Ditzy Demons: 141
Love's Sweet Garnish: 93
Nekopara Extra: 887
Maitetsu: 168

And finally, Nekonyan's other releases, excluding Senren and Sanoba.
Kinkoi: 221
Sugar Style: 128
Riddle Joker: 358
Aokana Extra 1: 113
IxShe Tell: 99
Making Lovers: 312
Aokana: 614
Sankaku Ren'ai: 151
Fureraba: 146

I didn't include titles with less than 50 English reviews, titles that were recent enough to still be garnering reviews and also titles that were older than 2018~. Overall 6 titles beat them on numbers from the selected companies, 2 being Nekopara. Looking through all the numbers it seems like <50 reviews is what average is, hence why most of the listed publishers games are missing from the list. anything above 200 is most likely an overwhelming success.

No clue there, but I know that one of their biggest known titles Shingakkou has issues with voice acting (the most recent download edition, released just a year after the package edition, is completely voiceless) and Haro from Mangagamer noted this as something that would reduce sales and be difficult to work with officially (and seeing what happened with Majikoi and Baldr Sky, with frankensteining in content after release, I can see why companies don't take the risk). On the Japanese studio side, Pil/Slash did try to do an English kickstarter for their game Paradise or at least released promotional content, but it all just disappeared without anything happening. Their newer releases are memed on anyway, it's their older content that's more beloved for the writing. But maybe picking up stuff that's stupid, but with shock value would sell more?

It’s practically confirmed already but not from that.

They confirmed they approached Black Cyc about something longer but Black Cyc lost the uncensored artwork so they looked at other options instead (Sadistic Blood). Japan has since found the uncensored artwork.

They’ve also commented that more Ueda Metawo (artist) is coming. Also that they are working on an old yet famous title and releasing it uncensored will make all the difference. GSS has censored gore content, so getting that uncensored would make a massive difference.
