I doubt they will. Hello Lady was a Eng/Ch release (which means the chinese sales go to Hikari Field) and only 25% of the reviews are in English. The numbers weren't all that impressive either considering they were working on it for 3+ years.

It's more a bad spiral really. It's easy to get a cheap "cute girls" thing to sell, so those are dominating, scaring of people who care more about the story. Even if somehow they play one they like, it's fast to run into a moege again.

It's a hobby you need to invest a little into to get into it. Oldfags like me got into it around the time, there basically weren't moege in the west. You had the fan translations, largely focusing on plotge, and the few commercial releases were either nukige or something like ever17.

None of those are feasible to pick up except from Nitro+ and maybe GSS, although how successful they'd be is debatable since they aren't likely to get on steam.
Kizuato is probably too old to sell well even if it did get picked up and isn't as known as other Leaf titles like WA and Teninai, Kusarihime is also too old and it's clear that MG don't want to do any of Liar-soft's denpa/hard to translate stuff.

Given that there's extremely few storefronts with any level of traffic, you're basically limited to JAST, MG, and Steam. The only reason developers put their titles on any storefront other than that is because A: They're paid to, or B: because the 20 sales they get from that storefront is worth the 20 minutes of time needed to submit the title to the storefront.

Most high profile JAST titles pull the same numbers, a few of MG's high profile titles pull the same numbers. Assuming we're excluding outliers like Go Go Nippon and Nekopara, VN's will normally hit 1 of 2 brackets. Either nobody buys the title (<200 copies sold) or roughly ~2,500 sales occur. Generally it doesn't exceed that range unless you have a chinese translation in which case you can usually triple those previous sales numbers.

It's something I found rather weird, that there's rarely a fluctuation in excess of 25% across various titles of multiple companies on Steam specifically. My best guess is the titles hit the algorithm which pushes visibility onto the title and thus gets sales and the titles that sell like shit simply weren't propagated by the algorithm.

I just took a look and there was 2 complains about the translation, one being pic related, and the second being someone complaining that one of the choices had its text the wrong way around (the 'Broaden scopes' choice was supposed to be 'Stay focused' and vice versa. Both of these are technical issues and have nothing to do with it being MTL.
As for whether it was fixed or not I have no idea since I torrented it.

So I'm once again asking for proof.
