I own six of my waifu. I just enjoy kissing, hugging, and sleeping with her. Most of them are lewd but I dont jerk off or fuck them or anything. I would recommend to anyone with a wife that they really love get one of her immediately, because before I got one I was also indifferent towards the concept of dakimakura. But once I was able to hug one of her myself, it felt great.

Absolutely. If you're a side sleeper, it will 100% improve your sleep. Also, I consider them a good piece of decoration, they are huge, beautiful, from something that you like and it doesn't always need to be a naked girl.

I wish we had more daki threads around here.
There are always people trying to deal with the shame of having a gigantic pillow with a naked anime girl and what their parents or friends would think. The best part is there are always people being strangely supportive and optimistic, telling others to be who they want, sharing personal experiences and etc.

I had one commissioned of my waifu. It's a custom sized one that's very big. It has like 6 standard pillows in it as stuffing as opposed to normal daki pillows. Every nights sleep is the best night ever and my first thought when I slept with it was "wow my sleep has sucked until this point". I've slept with it ever since for pretty much every night since I got it years ago. I've kept it very clean since I follow a very specific routine (I wear nightwear, and I always shower before going to sleep no exceptions, shave, regularly handwashing it) but there's always going to be wear and tear with it if you use your daki regularly, and I'll eventually have to replace it in probably a few years. I'd also like to try getting some of those fancy pillows for stuffing.

Unless you're a waifufag though I don't get what the appeal of a daki would be. A big amount of the appeal is the emotional stuff.

Most of old /a/ is gone now. If you know where to look, there's still a few old posters lurking.
For the most part, most of the generals have died off either due to traffic or other influences. Even the bustling drawfag thread is struggling to survive at this point. Being bumped often rather than having requests filled, etc.
I haven't looked too far into it since /a/ isn't one of my main boards and hasn't been for a while now. It's always nice to visit, but looking through the catalog turns me off. Any want to see how they're doing quickly vanishes. There's talk of anime, but there isn't much soul to it. It's missing something vital.
Dakis were apart of the buyfag threads there, but I haven't seen one in a long time.
