age has pretty much always been a terribly mismanaged company.
They were doing decently ~2009 or so with multiple brands, with moderately selling games, and then they go full retard and decide to go all in on the KimiIta disaster which was also delayed for like 2 years only to blow up in their face, the jewing with the MLA Chronicles releases being advertised as full price R-18 but only 8 or so hours long with all of the ero shoved off in the corner not even characters they advertised, then they went all in on the TE game and that was fraught with its own issues.
I stopped paying attention much to them around then, but it sounds like they were the same old mismanaged company after that still. Using their clunky ass proprietary engine way past its point of usefulness certainly didn't help. Their mobile games didn't last very long either IIRC which was probably more money down the drain too.

For like 2 chapters. Then it becomes bland. The routes weren't good either. I didn't read all three, but one was based entirely on a dumb misunderstanding and long flashbacks about stuff you already knew, while the other basically forgot what kinda girl the route was supposed to be about and replaced it with some mediocre idol shit.

I honestly don't even think that the writing in itself was that bad. Just the actual story and characterization failed. The individual small slice of life events and dialogue in itself was okay. As such it's still better than most Giga turds. About the same quality as Kimi no Hitomi ni Hit Me probably, though I personally enjoyed that a little more.

The (unfortunately only initial) title screen was nice though.

Searching for a visual novel I saw posted here a couple months or week ago, the poster said that the intro of a chapter, or the prologue well introduced the twist of the story.

The visual novel was set in a casino and he posted a screenshot where a blonge guy was throwing something on a gambling table.

You ever have the problem where you're reading a plot based game, but there's a character whose PLOT you really want to see. But you can't just go look up the HCGs like you would for some shitty moege, because if you do you'll almost certainly spoil the plot with the other CGs?

I don't know, I feel it gives the heroines more depth and the feeling they don't exist in a fucking vacuum, so that they're a character first and heroine second.

So I followed every step in this and I have a AIWIN_voice.exe now but apparently there's no voice. Any idea of what I could be doing wrong? Installed the game normally from classics bundle and got the voice files from nyaa, downloaded the Japanese vpatch from this thread.

The ending was so fucking ambiguous it made me angry, I think the paper plane at the end represents that Hotaru is still stranded in the imaginary world from which they threw that same paper plane. I have no fucking idea abut Rin anymore, I think she made it out even if she wasn't physically in the train, she was an outsider after all, Hotaru was the one that belonged there.

All in all way too many metaphors, the music was really good the atmosphere was great too, not that much variation in the monster rape which is kind of a let down, it had some pretty heart-warming moments tho, and I think Hotaru and Rin make a great couple, albeit they'll probably never see each other again. 8/10 it was fun, I don't want to think about this game again.

Finished Camus as well.

First of all, it's sad how this game has better production values than over 95% of eroge nowadays. It actually has sound effects that don't sound like crap, and for quite a few things too. The music is well enough used and it has plenty of background pictures as well, to always show where you are. (which is actually quite a bit, given that the cast is mostly on the move)
The CG frequency is pretty high as well, but it IS a pretty short game, so I'm not going to say much there.

Other than that, it's quite enjoyable for most of its first two chapters. Then it gets problematic in a way, many horror games get problematic. It starts to tell its "story", which doesn't work well. The "horror" goes away, as you get to know why and how stuff works, and instead you get... something. Something you probably never cared about.

For most of the game you'd think, that this game is about the story of these two girls, and as such their relationship. And it was probably kinda supposed to be like that. It just ended up not being though. Instead you first get the background of one girl, and then a story and climax about the other. But really something to do with these story parts had only one girl at the time. Especially the chapter 3 story was weak, and felt a little too much like "we need our self-insert after all". The arc overstayed its welcome.
Once you hit the end, it becomes painfully obvious how little you really got to know about the relationship between the two girls. It's supposed to be emotional, but can't be, because you never really got to know why they actually care about each other. Or don't for that matter. In fact, the ending itself, with Rin, the "world shattering" and her opinion about staying or not staying with Hotaru, should've been a main story point, and not a random 20 second scene.

I'm honestly confused how the game ended up doing so little with these two girls and their relationship. It uses a lot of scenes where they proclaim their affection to each other, but you see few actions and in the end nothing that actually matters. Perhaps, as such the ending is fitting. Hotaru is in her blue and nice world, isolated, and has nothing, just like there's nothing in that world. Rin is broken, in her broken world, where she laments about losing everything important to her, probably committing suicide. But really, I don't know if this was intended or just ended up being really awkwardly done.

Sidenote: The bad endings were horrible. For people in for the story, the bad endings had too much ero, and the ero didn't even make sense for the story, given the reason why they were hunted. For people in for seeing girls getting raped by monsters, it was too harmless and the game has way too much story which would also end up disappointing for them. Probably were there because they had to be there, given the brand or whatever.

Think I'm gonna drop apeiria, this vn is getting way too shitty.
I loved the premise with sf and info dumping and I already knew that the game had some dirty jokes, but this is way more ridiculous than I excpeted, even the heroines are ridiculous.
I'm used to play eroges so I know how flat some girls can get, but I've never seen this level of emptiness, his sister who I think is supposed to be the main heroine (or maybe the ai?) should be the very definition of a tsundere in wikipedia, I won't even bother to talk about the other characters that all falls within their own stereotype. What would be the point of the heroines dying in sorce permanently? Just stick to your setting and premise and have a polygamy already. Just look at the routes, in every single one of them suddenly that heroine has a change of heart out of nowhere and wants to monopolize the MC and this isn't an issue in itself except if it wasn't this particular setting.
I would rather have them not introduce you know who and just continue the loop storyline and expand it with the MC actually proving his worth and managing to avert the tragedy with his own two hands.

If you're making something along the lines of a なろう系 go through it till the end since that is what it's known for. But this doesn't even read like a なろう系. Just Tensei or Tenni doesn't make something a 'narou type' story in the first place, but using narou specific templates does. I just didn't feel those here this was a pure 学園モノ which are basically extinct now. Same with stuff like boob grab and seeing someone naked, no seriously even on narou you rarely see these anymore.

Yeah, this peeved me a lot as well. Kouki finally gets to do something meaningful at the start of Alive route when he gets appointed the leader of loyalists at school, or later when he tries to avert the tragedy from happening in the first place when he starts retaining his memories after looping. Either of these plot elements could've been easily used to actually have the protagonist do stuff and gradually discover all the hidden truths himself and maybe even grow as a character, but instead of that he ends up getting everything handed to him on a silver platter by a new character who only decided to introduce himself at the most convenient moment, happens to understand everything that's going on and dumps all they need to know in one go so that they can fix the main dilemma together. It's extremely lazy and unsatisfying.
