It's extremely mechanically different (turn based RPG) but Grasesta is actually pretty bad (poorly designed narrative and excessively simple/dull turn based battles) so I recommend you play their Ikusa Megami series next if you haven't instead. Grasesta is really not worth playing.

So, I finished this game. It's pretty weird as it's a mixture of stuff that I like and stuff that I dislike about the NTR genre. I'm mainly going to be referring to the first story in the game, since its the only one I played and I'm not sure like I feel like doing the others.

First off, the positives about it. A lot of times in NTR games, especially when you play doujin stuff, you kind of get hit with a lot of superfluous text. I get that the 'slow-burn' NTR genre is pretty popular, but a lot of the times these dudes don't have the writing chops to make it interesting. That's not to say that all of these games are bad, though. In Nenotori's case, it feels like it's well paced, which is very nice.

Another positive about this game are the h-scenes in themselves. They are very unique due to the fact that most of the h-scenes in this game take place with silhouettes. All you can see are the shadows of the characters fucking as the protag looks on, and sometimes their voices are even muffled. This is something that I think is masterful and something that I really wish more nukige caught on to. What can turn you on, more than anything that a writer can write or an artist can draw, is your imagination. Especially in a genre like NTR, where the main draw is the same as a horror movie, a good NTR game should make your heart beat like a madman and make you dread to move on to the next line. This was something that I felt for the first few h-scenes of the game.

While I enjoyed these aspects I wish the game was longer. I would've enjoyed the more 'slow-burn' type of NTR with this kind of game. Also, I didn't really like the ending, but most NTR games have shitty endings so whatever.

I'd recommend it to all my NTRbros here. If anyone has any good recommendations for slow burn NTR games feel free to let me know.

assuming you do all the events on time, yunagi will be the first heroine to run out of H events. i believe her last one is around ch4/5 so you'll see a ton of her H before some heroines even start

if you aren't seeing other H you either missed a flag or haven't done their events, simple as that. by the time you impregnate yunagi in her last H scene you should have already had sex with excel and maybe mikri/agna. the rest are more evenly spaced out

Most of the non-obvious triggers happen after sleeping or battle. For Ekthel's case, you may need to not have her currently be hired. You should still be able to do the character events later without missing any, probably just haven't found the triggers yet or haven't progressed far enough in the story like that anon said.

Some anon a few threads ago said they played Grasesta after playing Etrian Odyssey and were dissapointed and I can definitely see where they're coming from. At least the gameplay and plot are mostly ignorable so you can just try to focus on the few things it has going for it, like Fleur.

I finished 11月のアルカディア yesterday.

I went in with no expectations at all and it ended up being pretty fun. I knew nothing about the VN or its plot aside from its Halloween look so I was nicely surprised upon the reveal at the end of the prologue in regards to MC's real power and motives. I also enjoyed some of philosophical talks here and there, notably the one with Alice in the true route about how she might be "complete", while humans are "incomplete" and "seek to learn" and whatnot. The girls were all nice, I liked blue best through most of the VN but Sena ended up really taking the cherry from the cake in the end. Her VA is stellar too.
If there's one thing I'm mad about it's that we didn't get to deflower his sister. Her older sprite looked goergous at the end so I was really hoping to see more of her. Kind of a mean tease there.
While I did end up rolling my eyes at times at the questionable choices made by the characters through some moments, I can't say I ever felt irritated at any point while reading it. I realized I somewhat treated it as a play rather than questioning every little things and whether or not they're "realistic" and it worked wonder for my personal enjoyement. So all in all, not a materpiece but pretty a fun and comfy ride in my opinion.

While playing it around Fall is probably optimal, I didn't find the Halloween theme to be invasive or that important, so the VN could be enjoyed at any time of the year in my opinion - in case some would be reluctant to touch it for that reason.

I think it's mostly because outside of nukige, they're incredibly uncommon in eroge. It's mostly an expectations thing. In doujins/h-manga they're incredibly common.

How are the CGs by the way? I was a bit discouraged at first by the fact they hired another artists for a new eronantoka game. But the CGs on the clockup's page look pretty good. Sure the artist has some downsides and is not as skilled as Hamashima, but the coloring is great and the eros is still there.

I read that story a while ago. I agree that it was super hot, especially with the voyeurism, and the girl's loss to the dick in the first part. I started wincing in the latter part when the game shifted focus to the cuck's suffering since I'm mostly interested in the portrayal of the good girl and her chemistry with the bad guy.

I also agree that the game could have been longer. More chapters dedicated to the girl's visits at bad guy's house, and less angst at the end.

The few CGs offered could have been higher quality. Doesn't matter that much though, since the magic happens in the script and use of silhouettes.

It's the problem of "good art, but little backgrounds/CG" vs, "bad art, but tons of poses and variation". The silhouettes are used in many different ways to give you an idea where exactly people are in a room, and their pose. You get a way better idea of generally everything but how people actually look.
It's not like they don't have CG for the remake or whatever, but they'd need way too many if they wanted to even somewhat reproduce the original. That didn't work. The voice-acting was at least pretty good for what it's worth.

The prologue is intentionally confusing in the sense that you're not supposed to have an idea what's going on.
What you're supposed to pick up is　既知 = bad 未知 = good,Nazi strong, blonde man charismatic.
The finer points of the ritual, and prologue get explained as you progress. Also there's a route order but I'm sure you already knew that.

Playing some Himegari for a while now, and is it just me or is this better than the other two games Eushully made in this style? I'm not that far into it yet, but it sure feels like it.

Common issues I had before:
-Too big rooms making the 1 move restriction really awful and can force door combat against massive amounts of enemies because enemies spawn every few turns.
Himegari has small rooms and the enemy spawners are (so far) really not too bad. In fact, it feels like they almost spawn nothing at all.
-ONE BIG ROW of units in SMALL corridors
Himegari solves this by making if desirable to beat the maps fast and often offering splitting routes so you split up your team. Also the unit retiring system is absolutely awesome for quickly getting units over the map and even healing them.
-Ridiculous material grind.
Not in Himegari, so far. There are no gathering spots and you can't even freely enter old areas anyway. Even equip upgrades are fairly free.
-If you need to get drops or whatever, rng "manip" is made unnecessarily annoying by saving the rng of a whole turn. Once you know it, you can still cheese, so it's really just that: Annoying.
Himegari doesn't have that yet. Just save before you beat an enemy, and reload till you have the drop you want. Or the lvlup you want. Or whatever. So much better.

I also really like how the same type of generic units share lvl and stats. (not equipment though) So basically, if one gets exp, all of them do. If one gets a massively good lvlup, all others match it. It's probably because units are one-time only, as in they die->they dead. Want a new one? Catch or summon (if you caught enough before). So it would suck if they'd "reset" or something. But it opens up for very interesting play-styles.

Well, it's still early, but it's enjoyable so far. More so than the newer "Meister" games at least, if you ask me. Feels like there was actually some thought put into this one, while in the newer stuff they just copied and hoped they did it kinda right. The demon spells alone are so damn useful and a good thing to have, I'm surprised that shit is gone in later games. Seriously. Retiring from anywhere. Warp to any controlled point on the map. Heals. Now that's a good way to spend mana and make it fun. (although it can be costly, especially the warp)

finally finished deep one. hesitated for a very long time due to bad reception but in the end still decided to try it. initially I thought the game wasn't so bad/underrated, then I figured I was totally wrong. game was a fucking big mistake. some of the things they fucked up really hard 1. romance in generally is just terrible 2. the fighting scenes and the story do not mesh in any way. questionable if fighting is even necessary in this story 3. At various points of story and heroine talk events you get choices to be somewhat decent guy or asshole and dependin on choice you accumlate law/chaos points and when you are nearing the end game the story starts diverging on that and gives you wildly different endgame scenario.
Usually the law scenario is more focused on story but the chaos stories do give some cool bits and delves on stuff law routes cant and more porn too so you should always do both routes even though you really can't just save right before split. Besides the gameplay is one of the reasons you want to play the games and challenge yourself clearing it on higher difficulties. But if you dont care about the gameplay you can always take the easiest difficulty which has literal "I win" button for those who want story.

Normal scenes with sprites are better in widescreen, but the big problem with widescreen is the art philosophy that every CG has to show as much of the girl as possible. So you end up having 90-degree CG tilts to make a vertical subject fill up a horizontal space, sacrificing a more natural and aesthetically pleasing angle for more close detail. There are some big areas later on and the difficulty becomes obscene too, the hardest part of it becomes managing your units well, specially essential ones if you don't want to miss on a junk of their stories or h-scenes since they die for good.
This makes the game really hardcoreand sweaty, I personally found myself saving every 3 turns or so, also saving before going into a fight with one of the main characters since there's some really stupid rng with misses and crits that can happen completely ruining your day.
The game got quite tedious for me after a while so I dropped it. Exploring is pretty much a gamble because you want to use the main characters that move a lot more tiles than normal monsters, thus making you get into a lot of fights with them or stalling until your monsters can get there which again, is tedious.
You could capture and use a lot of monsters and avoid using the main characters if you really care about them but that's just way too time consuming. If I was to pick it up again I would just focus on 2 or 3 characters to keep alive and not care if the others die, then start over and do the others.
The game kind of advocates this I think since you can chose to brainwash some characters making them your allies at the expense of them not longer being a part of the story which is kinda necessary in the first playthrough i think because again, the difficulty is ridiculous. We also know how eushully loves their new game plus feature so maybe it's just the first playthrough that is really challenging.
What I do really like about it and they kind of brought back with grasesta is the edgy themes, slavery, mindbreak and all that good stuff.

I can see how it could be a little difficult, if you don't explore everything and so on. But so far, everything I can beat without artificial triggers hindering me (like "you win the map if you just fight this character ONCE") basically dies against my OP Lily without a problem. Which includes the door to "hell" against Senpai and friends, though it was the first time I saw the costume getting changed because of damage taken. But yeah, if you don't savescum at all, with enough bad luck your units are just so bad it's going to go terrible. That's why you kinda have to do it. At least a bit. The game has a mechanic to "save" failed rolls, so that stats that haven't risen in a while get more and more likely to rise, but it's not enough to save you from absolute garbage stat gains. The level-up system in all three meister games is just awful. Here you can deal with it the best though.
I mean seriously, my Lily in the tsun form has this growthrate:
(HP, SP, FS, ATK, DEF, MATK, MDEF, SPD, LUCK)
105 40 20 18 6 12 8 13 4 in percent

Who thought that was a good idea? On average 17 levels per def+? Riiiiiight. Loli Lily is even worse, which is why I ditched her the moment I could:
