I'm not done with it yet but I think Summer Pockets is great so far. That being said, at least musically, Maeda is missed a great amount. The music is well above average compared to normal games, but compared to most Key games it simply falls short. After I finished my first route and I unlocked the music and CG gallery, I went in to see which tracks I had unlocked. The track that was my favorite by far happened to be the only one I had unlocked up until that point that was written by Maeda. Say what you want about his writing, but the dude can write some great music.

I think it's safe to assume at this point that the anime isn't a direct adaptation of the VN. It properly depicts one of the many loops that happen before the main timeline, which would explain all the anime-original stuffs even though most of the important events stay the same in the anime.

Shiroha and Kamome are the only good things about this game. I recommend just ctrl'ing or getting a save after those for the true route (which also isn't very good but it has Shiroha).
The wisest thing is to drop or never play the game in the first place though, it felt like a waste of time overall.

That girl is the most popular and known girl in school, also thanks to being the student council president. She has a nice body and such as well and is a character you can surely consider confident enough. Still had to do that ero meme in line 1 which makes absolutely 0 sense here.
But yeah, I generally don't like this whole apologizing for not looking great (it's an eroge, don't act as if you design girls that aren't supposed to be great looking), or for enjoying sex or whatever. The former may still be okay, if it's your typical loli in highschool character who has a complex about that anyway, but the latter? Fuck that.


Being a plotge makes it better, or rather less bad, because the route is very little about the relationship in the first place. On the flipside, if you have a typical moege or whatever, where it's supposed to be a very pivotal point, jumping over steps and rushing the relationship is pretty bad.
Of course, you can wonder: Why is the romance even there, if it's obviously not really cared about? Well. Eroge. Gotta have the ero somehow. Though Hananono (the game this scene is from) shouldn't have these typical routes, that's for sure. There are better ways to handle this problem that more and more games use by now.

Ended mojika, fuck it, even after seeing the bad ratings in vndb I still had expectations for a vn by Shimokura Vio, but oh man, I would rate worse this vn. And the image is relevant to the topic.

Even casting aside the matter of taste of the Asou Ei-type of H-content and the depressing theme, I still think it was so bad delivered like damn, all the heroines were shit excepting Tsubaki (not to say her ending was made bad for the sake of it), sure I think it was on purpose because all the heroines but Naruko were bad ends, but if you let the only heroine in facto be shit, it doesn't make sense anymore

The theme was cliche and all but the way it is told (the mind reading and the first person vision shit) made it look it had so much potential, just to throw it to the thrash with a protagonist over-the-top pathetic(making it impossible at least for me to sympathize with him) ,with the only good heroine having a bad route and the main heroine magically sucking the dick of the protagonist by plot force that make me remember the sister of Reminiscence with how bad written it was.

But the thing that tilted me the most and got me to the level of laughing of the preposterous this shit was that the main heroine was at the same time the supposed antagonist that make you feel like shit only to magically show that she is your childhood friend and because of that she wants your dick, how the fuck I am supposed to empathize such a sick bitch, I ,by the contrary, would get a level of respect to someone so crazy to forget all the torture she did just because of the sake of awake your "new power", and that bitch is the main heroine.

tldr: I'm done and my level of disappointment are incalculable even if I didn't have big expectations to begin with.
