Me and a good friend were talking about nocchi yesterday, he's not a perfume fan but I talk to him about it enough for him to at least know quite a bit about each member of perfume.

I was showing him the latest picture of nocchi looking worried for the future reception for future pop and he said he doesn't think she's autistic.

he thinks she's been broken.

I thought about it and I have to say, other than the fact that nocchi had no friends during her childhood and adolescence and has no friends now (not something limited to autistic people + autistic people have less trouble making friends in Japan as Japanese culture as a whole is extraordinarily autistic) and the time she asked out 10 guys, we don't really have any examples of her being autistic until level 3 era.

nocchi has always been quirky but not really in an autistic way in retrospect. she used to have a level of coolness to her quirks.

not until she started to look depressed did the autism thing rear it's head. correct me if I'm wrong, nocchi has either revealed how autistic she is around 5 years into her career or she's just been treated like shit for long enough to finally break.

I mean she's never really had a decent amount of friends, that in combination with A~chan taking shits on her on TV. I mean the fact that she does it on TV really highlights the fact that she probably does it in private like all the time.

she probably also hates the fact that she has no control over where her career goes and really is just along for the ride. the fact that she's famous and also lonely probably frustrates her too.

Idk, if she were broken she would have snapped on a~chan by now. She also loves performing and to this day still gives her energy and cute heartmelting smiles to the camera. Some people just like having their alone time and she's definitely gotten use to it. Plus, she's never really alone. I really don't know how anyone can acctually believe nocchi is actually lonely. She spends most her time with her childhood friends, and is in contact with perfume staff all the time. I get that you can feel lonely if you feel you can't relate much with the people around you, but this is unlikely the case for her. I do miss this yuka but I think mature yuka seems to fit her more now. She's so shy and quite. I found perfume in 2015, which I wish it had been any other era because trying to have hope for that album and then seeing it's just an edm sell out kinda broke me. First it was a~chan because the first song I found was polyrhythm and her face comes out to often there, I guess. But very quickly yuka became the waifu and she tempted and tainted me. I really didn't notice nocchi much at all until maybe really a few months back. Her cute weird goofiness started showing. But what I really liked I think is how everyone just wants to keep her safe, protected. Shes so sweet and special. Very different from any other girl. Also gives me a very different feeling. But, I can't decide. I cant just leave poor insecure yuja. Even if she has no idea who I am. Shes also great. I realised the thing that makes yuka great is her insecurity. Shes shy and doesn't realize shes so beautiful. She's cool. Actually I find both nocchi and yuka shy and cool in their own ways. Tough choice

I think got into perfume around the same time as you, although I was aware of their music before then, just wasn't into the girls at the time. Its funny because I always used to see them in variety shows and what not, and I wasn't really physically attracted to them. For me I started falling for nocchi when noticed how autistic she was. Also I liked the fact the girls weren't trying their hardest to be super kawaii and shit like other idol girl groups, especially nocchi.
