George went to see Shannon's body in a half crazed state.
He found out that she was still alive, probably because she is the real mastermind.
Rosa followed him, saw them and tried to kill Shannon.
George took the bullet.
Rosa went crazy after this.
Shannon left a message on the door, killed Nanjo and proceeded to kill herself.

Or something like that.
The last message is probably very important to the whole thing, the frst part was Battler birth date if I remember correctly so it probably have to do with the original Battler.

I think the whole fake name with Shannon and Kanon will be used as a plot device later.
The whole dead in red isn't time sensitive after all.
Or maybe the whole "death" could also be figurative, like Shannon may have decided to give up that fake name and retake her real one or something.

You never know with Ryuukichi, the strangest theories are probably the most likely.

>> No.1911912

Real culprit died in first twilight
Hideyoshi was found out and injured. He pretended to be dead.
Eva killed ther rest but Nanjo.
Hideyoshi while still fatally wonded killed Nanjo then later died.

Nanjo was in on what Eva and Hideyoshi was up to and Hideyoshi killed him to make sure no one knew what Eva did.

The magic circles and close rooms stop after the first twilight. This episode was a bad end for the culprit. Just like Watanagashi/Meakashi was Takano's failed end.

What really made me suspect him was the end of Episode 3, where he seems to insist to Battler that the witch exists, as though it was in his best interest to do so.

That said, Kinzo seems suspicious too, considering that he's either removed quickly or left isolated in the games, and his body is burned in more than one occasion, as though there was some ulterior motive for it, such as to use the smell to disguise something that would otherwise stand out in the mansion.

Nanjo kills the first six, likely with the help of one of the victims.

Eva tells Hideyoshi about the gold, and they decide to get rid of the other siblings. Eva kills Rosa and Maria

Hideyoshi, Rudolf, and Kyrie go to the mansion and meet up with Eva. Eva kills Rudolf while Hideyoshi tracks down Kyrie and kills her. Hideyoshi runs discovers Nanjo and runs back to Eva to warn her about him, but conveniently gets shot in the back before he can tell her. Eva flees fearing for her life.

Nanjo stakes Rudolf, Kyrie, and Hideyoshi, but fails to check if they're actually dead at this point because he's in a hurry to get back to the guest house.

Nanjo kills George and moves his body to where Shannon's is, as he knows this will cause Eva to go insane (and thus easier for an old man to get the jump on later).

Eva serves coffee with sedatives to Krauss and Natsuhi and strangles them after it kicks in, and Nanjo, still lurking around, stakes the bodies after Eva moves them (Or perhaps he moves the bodies himself while Eva's in the bathroom or something).

After Nanjo bandages up Jessica, he leaves the room intending to get rid of Eva and Battler, but instead runs into the barely alive Hideyoshi, who kills him and subsequently dies. Eva then kills Battler and Jessica.

I think that in general Kyrie is the culprit, with Nanjo as back up. Episode 3's ???? explained that after the massacre all of the inheritance would go to Ange, and she already had a plot on her life. When she dies the inheritance gets passed on to Kyrie's family. While Kyrie still loves Rudolph I still have my doubts that someone who felt betrayed could easily go back to him with no reason at all. Nanjo is suspicious no matter how much you shake it, as the only figure with any medical knowledge the family seems to take his word as law. I'm assuming that Kyrie's family had somehow persuaded him to work with Kyrie. However, I can't really prove anything until we find out more about Kyrie and her family, which seems to be possible via the Episode 4 screen caps I've seen.

That is a good point, that with Ange outside the island, she would still be considered a descendant, regardless of what happened on the island, and of course be beyond suspicion.

Also, from a story point of view, she's pretty much the only (human) person on the same level of wits as Battler, any other culprit would seem like an anti-climax.

The biggest thing here is that Eva-Beatrice only states that the person has died, the exact specifics of this however, are left out, meaning the possibility of a false death is possible, as long as by that point in the story they have died.

Eva would most likely go mad after seeing Nanjo kill Hideyoshi and she wouldn't run away. But then how much does she love Hideyoshi.

Not really, if a human uses magic, then that's through the influence of a witch. The whole battle is really more 'magic doesn't exist' than 'Beato is a witch'.

All she saw was a smoking gun that seemed to float in the air, meaning the shooter himself was concealed and she would be at a huge disadvantage if she decided to stay and fight. Running the fuck away is a natural response in that situation.

So if witches aren't real, then does that mean meta-Battler is just really fucking insane?

>> No.1913413

>>1913330
No, the meta-world really does "exist", but it has no real incidence on the real world.

>> No.1913451

>>1913330
No witches obviously "exist", but the point is proving they don't on the gameboard which is a controlled, isolated enviorment.

If Battler was out to prove witches and magic did not exist in any reality he would have lost the second Beato turned into butterflies or revived him after the Stakes got too rough in their playtime
