when will non=school swimsuits get the recognition they deserve in otaku media? school swimsuit fans think they're so much better than everyone else and monopolize all the swimsuit related content. this is injustice.

>> No.13762571

What's the point? School ones are cute and conservative, as well as lewd. If you're going to have them wear something like in the OP, it's only going to be in an ecchi show, and if that's the case, why not just have them go naked?

>> No.13762666

>>13762571
school swimsuit's eroticism is literally a meme at this point. swimsuits like in that picture have plenty of good points on their own.

1) from the back it looks like the wearer is completely nude
2) the triangle shaped gap between the front straps, the underboob, and the stomach
3) the breasts are completely unsupported so they can move freely
3a) because of this there's a constant risk of nipple slips
4) interesting tan lines
5) maximum exposure while still being one piece

>why not just have them go naked?
you can go outside in more places without getting arrested in a sexy swimsuit than naked. it also has the exposure factor of being right on the line of wanting to show everything but still being too embarrassed to go fully naked.

All your points point to "why not be nude." There's no point in being semi-nude. Just be nude or don't.

>> No.13762695

I don't know what you're talking about OP, I see frilly swimsuits all the time in otaku-media, whether it's VNs or anime. Usually there's always one character who wears the onepiece/sukumizu because they're the shy one.

>> No.13762732

The genius of the school swimsuit is that it is designed to look equally appealing on all body types. Whereas a high-cut athletic swimsuit might emphasize the ass and hips, and the swimsuit you posted emphasizes the chest, the school swimsuit flatters all kinds of girls ranging from loli to voluptuous. That the school swimsuit is appreciated even by weebs outside of Japan who didn't grow up with it is proof of its successful design.

like I said you can wear a swimsuit in places where you can't be nude. there's eroticism in a statement like "I would be naked if I could but this is as close as I'm allowed." a swimsuit like that can also make the body more appealing the same way as putting a ribbon in hair.

>>13762695
those are cute-type swimsuits not erotic-type.

>>13762732
>The genius of the school swimsuit is that it is designed to look equally appealing on all body types.
it was clearly designed to be utilitarian and unappealing in every way.

>That the school swimsuit is appreciated even by weebs outside of Japan who didn't grow up with it is proof of its successful design.
no it's just proof of memetic diffusion, like how monkey populations on different islands end up sharing habits.

Curved stiff fabric will resist bending in any direction it's not already curved in. That swimsuit's chest is curved to wrap around the sides of the torso, so it will resist bending down.

It's also fairly easy to stick wires in something like that, they blend into folds if done right.

it covers nips and pussy just as much as a normal swimsuit though. is there some kind of rule that X% of a woman's body has to be covered for it to count?

This is one of the most confusing sets of characters I have ever seen on the internet. I take it you mean, "Swimsuits that aren't school swimsuits."

For one thing you are wrong on your base assumption. Swimsuit fans like various of things based on preference. From bikinis with skirted bottoms to competition swimsuits. The stereotypical japan school swimsuit does NOT dominate content.

As for the sling bikini depicted, they are impractical for one very major reason. They garner a kind of attention that unless they are trying to attract, is usually very abrasive and unwanted.

>>13762901

There is a good chance a woman walking around with only pasties on would be questioned by the police. That's one of the least-sexy things to happen.

>>13762787
>how monkey populations on different islands end up sharing habits.

Memes and morphic resonance are two completely different fucking things. Memes are habits that are passed from one individual to another. Morphic resonance is when two isolated individuals develop the same habits at the same time.

My conclusion is that you are too fucking stupid to have any kind of meaningful conversation.

It's kinda like you can do it but the average person never would.
Which I think applies to these kinds of bathing suits, any average person wouldn't wear them, and the sort of people who would, would probably be shunned or be fucked up enough that authorities would get involved.

I'm pretty sure that micro bikinis, competitive swimsuits, and high-leg one-piece swimsuits are fairly popular fetishes in their own respective rights. Gravure idols wear swimsuits all the time. If anything, it's the school swimsuit that is niche. I think the OP's fundamental misunderstanding is that "otaku media" is anime and manga exclusively.
