Hello /jp/, I recently got a great deal on a copy of Atelier Rorona. This is my first Atelier and it's very cute and fun. I'm interested in getting into the other games as well now, and any other games of similar nature that you all might know of. I also just got my hands on a Vita, so I'm willing to start building a library.

Where does jaypee recommend I go from here to further educate myself about being a cute alchemist? Should I start with the best in the series? What do you miss out on without the Plus release?

General Atelier and other cute/cozy RPGs thread I guess.

Did you start with normal Rorona and not plus? I like it myself but the remake would have probably been a better place to start.

I figured it would, but I practically got the normal Rorona for free, so I took the opportunity to gain interest in the series.

Between Ayesha Plus, Meruru Plus, Totori Plus, which one would be best for a Vita grab? Do they each have their own advantages and disadvantages? Who is the cutest?

I've heard totori is the best the franchise has to offer.

Totori was my least favorite game of the atelier trilogy. Rorona had my favorite characters/story/music, while Meruru had the best mechanics. The characters and story in Totori didn't do much for me, and I felt like I was just aimlessly doing stuff. I also felt it was the easiest of the trilogy, not that difficulty is a big deal in any of those games, but I pretty much just mindlessly played to the end and got the good end. In the others, I had to at least pay attention to deadlines to get a non-bad end.

I haven't played any of the Plus variants though.

I feel the same way, but going in order is probably best anyway.
