It's very likely an egyptian/pharaoh/anubite touhou will see the day, ZUN likes birds and dead things.
Seriously, even when going underground the boss is a fucking BIRD. And previously it was only mild stuff like Yuyuko and Youmu but with Rin and her cadaver taxi, Yoshika and even Miko, the quota of dead people is high enough for a mummy to be a likely character to be introduced.

It's all about gods, celestials, birds, aliens and animal-girls; I wish there were more magic users or even an actual alchemist.
Still no demon girls, Koakuma has been forgotten, and to be honest, vampire don't really cut it. Closest things to it are edgy touhou.

So yeah, a Ra, Anubis or Bastet themed touhou is entirely possible. With all the "curse of the pharoh" shite and a mumy or two to pander to necrophiliac.

Not to mention that there have been pyramids in japan.

And keep in mind that they were cultures - not ethnicities. Same goes for being Roman or Greek or Egyptian.
