Trains are holy creatures, entirely without sin.

That isn't their fault. They can't stop quickly. They would if they could.

That's why you have to pay attention at railroad crossings.

Trains suck.

Train otakus are scum of the earth.

>> No.10065436

I've never ridden a train

But even as a "car guy" I would like to ride one across the country or something in a nice empty car with a seat to myself.

Fuck subways or other city transit though, it looks awful.

>> No.10065435

I realize that trains are feasibly an authentic otaku interest, but assuming you aren't just posting it to try and stir up trouble; train threads really belong on /n/, not /jp/.

I understand the general sentiment, but...

>Trains are holy creatures, entirely without sin.

Weird spiritualism like that fits really well here, I guess. It's as otaku as you can get.

I'd sure as hell rather have a train thread than shitposting, anime screen caps, or the like.

I was just pointing out that if you do have a serious interest in trains, you're likely to find better information and more similarly train-knowledge people on /n/ than on a super divided board like /jp/

They're bringing that down to my town soon. It's all the way to the point of the mountain http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_of_the_Mountain already and people are asking it to be extended down to Provo as well.

Soon.

My point is, I don't think he's trying to have a serious technical conversation about trains. He's trying to distance himself and his subject from reality, talk about ideals that trains represent. It's more or less - and by using the much maligned word I'm taking the risk of getting misunderstood, but none is more fitting - a thread about train moe.

Trams were extinct, but they're being resurrected. The current low floor tram runs on the old Lilyfield goods line, and is slated for extention into the mid inner west. The city wants it up George Street. And UNSW wants a Tram extension down the old ANZAC parade route.

Babies be coming back, so much cuter than busses.

There's something spiritual about old trains, and their obvious personality and being as an object imbued with real life and even consciousness. And this is where /n/ becomes /jp/—when a train can become moé, when it is a thing that needs to be treated as if a person—then it is /jp/.

Too lewd interior shot removed.

There is nothing like riding inside an old DMU sticking your head out the unit and pulling it in just before the Coal train rips alongside; standing in the door way, waiting until the train is unguarded (1980s / 1990s) and then pissing out the open door while the train is in motion.

>>10068308
