But supermarkets always have closed metal containers with 10cm thickness. How can you open that?

Get yourself some mini bolt cutters, they cut through padlocks and should fit easily inside your coat pocket. They will also cut chains and chainlock fencing.

Anyone try dumpster diving at computer or electronics stores? I bet you can make some money with what you find.

>> No.9996542

Most electronics stores send shit back to the manufacturer or distributor so their trash is just packaging and shipping rubbish. PC places you might find some busted cases or packaging. Everything else by law must be sent out to recyclers or are resold in other markets.

Best is large apartments full of lazy don't want a yard yuppies. That whole bad chinese capacitor thing had 50~70" tvs in dumpsters all over because of $5USD of fried parts. Dive with a pickup truck and hit up the local parts store for some proper Japanese caps. Then sell tvs.

It is illegal in most states in the US to rifle through someone's trash, business or personal. If you have to cut a lock or vandalize the container or fence to get to it you will face higher charges if caught. Some cities will treat it as theft and charge you the same as if you were breaking and entering property.

So be watchful and careful /jp/

what the hell is with all the stacked words and equations in the captcha?

Finding food is easy, you'll have bigger problems prioritizing what to take home. Aim for prepackaged things, fruits, eggs, some dairy, but no meats. Try smaller places who've yet not bought a compactor. Gas stations have good stuff. Lots of buns and pastries around Christmas, freezed and in good shape in the cold.

Avoid people, cops will stop you and people might kick your ass if they take you for a hobo.

I've never found any real high-value things because of this nation's obsession with compactors, recycling and the death of small-scale stores.
