/jp/ imagine your local doctor says he hears unusual sound from your heart and sends you to the hospital where you are diagnosed with a serious heart defect that needs to be fixed in a surgery. The surgery is not risk free, 10% death rate and the doctors have to do all kinds of test to even get to that level of safety, you are going to be in the hospital for 3 weeks before the surgery takes place, maybe your mother stays the first night with you if you are lucky but for the others you will be alone in that hospital.

Would you take your Dakimakura with you even tough you always protected your powerlevel?

Hell yeah

But I would try to play it off as a joke because I'm good at that. Like in the James Franco way.

Fuck that, I'll just deal with having it and find a nice quiet place in an isolated area to die.

No. Protect the power level at all costs.

Besides, the last thing you want is the doctor remembering the silly pillow you sleep with while he's got a scalpel in your heart. That's not the time for him to start laughing.

Hide a body pillow in a hospital room? These aren't suites we're talking about, they're rooms with a single small dresser, a wall mounted TV, a chair and a bed barely big enough for you and the pillow.

Besides, there is no "Surgeon on his way." alarm. They just show up.

Then you've probably never had to interact with socially awkward nerds who talk endlessly about stupid minutia about whatever they are interested in.

Most of the people who post here are just socially aware enough to realize how obnoxious that is and so they go all the way in the other direction and pretend to not like anime at all in order to avoid drawing scorn on themselves.

Trust me, leave the thing at home. You don't want any of the hospital bacteria in your precious daki. Besides, maybe the doctors won't laugh at you and maybe forget you in a few weeks, but the nurses will talk about you for ages.
Besides, you don't want to look bad in front of the younger nurses.

>> No.9990179

I've been in a situation like that, without the pillow and a bit higher death rate. It was miserable. I cried myself to sleep the majority of the nights. No audible sounds, just tears.

OP, if you think it will make you feel any less miserable at night for the 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep you will occasionally get, take it with you.

This is retarded. Congenital heart defects are very serious and start causing problems very early in life. Hell, ventricular defects cause problems in newborns as venous blood is mixing with the oxygenated blood that is being pumped into systemic circulation and tissues aren't being oxygenated properly. OP, you don't know shit about heart defects. Why don't you just say 30 years of being a fatass and not sitting in a chair all day caused a clog of cholesterol in your arteries and you need surgery for it.

>> No.9993332

>>9993254
Hiding your powerlevel has always been a codeword for just "keep entry-level anime retards from coming into contact with you" and simultaneously "don't be like one of those retards". People pretending it's anything more than that are missing the point.

My grandmother found out that she had an extremely small congenital heart defect when she was, like, eighty. They declined to do surgery because of her age and it was so small that it never caused her that many problems.
