Rather new to Mahjong, I've played twenty or so matches (finished my last one with +63, the previous with +57, so while inexperienced, I sure am Lucky.. got a baiman on my first turn as a dealer on the last match. lol e-penis showdown) I'm really confused by the furiten rule.
I mean, I know I can't win on my own discarded tiles. But from time to time, I get furiten on tiles discarded by others. Le fuck?
Anyone cares to explain?

You'll spend hours playing Saikyo no Mahjong, like I did when I first started a few weeks ago. Then you'll finally work up the confidence to go play on tenhou and you'll suddenly realize that the computers play like shit...

I suggest you stop playing that and go play online against the elevens/anons in tenhou (lobbies 0000/7447, respectively) as soon as you feel that you have a handle for it. You'll improve by a ton.

I ran out of magical sand in the last moment with this hand. I had started out with just two pairs. Of course, I wasn't got for Toi Toi or Seven Pairs, and suddenly I started drawing all these closed pon (high waves that comes every 1000 years).

If only it had been tsumo...
