We've had these threads a few times. I think there's some Japanese company makes these, or the Japanese just fail at configuring Web servers. There are so many publicly viewable cameras in Japan, it's nuts.

Anyway, I used to follow a website called "GhostWatcher" or something in the late 90s or early 2000s. Basically some guy felt his apartment was haunted, so he set up cameras. Of course, they weren't quite live streams, but refreshing JPEGs like that one coffee camera.
Nothing ever happened, but there was a lot of internet investigation and photoshopping and oh-god-did-anyone-see-that? going on. Sometimes just being silly and trying to scare each other over the internet is more fun than something actually scary happening.

>I'd assume most people on 4chan already instinctively get English phonetics
Wrong assumption.

English phonetics make absolutely no fucking sense, thus can be challenging unless you're a native speaker and this error obviously rises from not understanding english phonetics. Like my example shows, the transcription would've been close to correct for "stalker", but not /ˈstôkər/.

Japanese phonetics on the other hand are easy to learn because they aren't pants-on-head retarded.

It's easy on a case to case basis, difficult by and large. If you know how to pronounce an individual English word, and you understand Japanese phonetics (because according to you it's easy to learn), it's a simple matter of 1 + 1. LEGO® is a line of toys featuring colourful plastic bricks, gears, minifigures (also called minifigs and figs), and other pieces which can be assembled to create models of almost anything imaginable. Cars, planes, trains, buildings, castles, sculptures, ships, spaceships, and even working robots are just part of a very short list of the many things that can be built with LEGO bricks. High production quality and careful attention to detail ensures that LEGO pieces can fit together in myriad ways, which is one of the main reasons for the toy's success. Coincidentally, "LEGO" translates into various Latin meanings such as "Assemble" and "Connect".

The sets are produced by the LEGO Group, a privately-held company based in Denmark.

All of this reminds me of where I grew up and visit every year. I grew up in the Minoo area of Osaka within 30 minutes on bike of the waterfalls there, my uncle owns a restaurant near Ishibashi station.

Not sure if there's a webcam there. But its a very quiet place, and I love just riding my bicycle around the area. Pic related, its near the family homes (we have a few houses clustered together).

2010 has some awesome snow. There wasnt much of it late 2011/early2012 if I remember correctly.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TE_H1lmLsvQ

I do remember seeing a mag 7.1 aftershock last year around April. It sounded like rain and I tabbed into the cam, trains were rocking left to right and everyone ran out of the station. They came back 10 minutes later. It would have been really interesting to see the initial 9.0 quake
