Are there any torrents out for the idolmaster Shiny Festa PSP games?

also, idolmaster thread, or is this /a/s domain now?

>> No.9937468

Game talk is fine here.

I almost forgot about Shiny Festa.

Doesn't seem like it's been uploaded yet.

>> No.9937498

im glad they used pre-rendered videos instead of actual ingame graphics this time.
SP games looked so shitty

>> No.9937510

Wasn't Shiny Festa just made to cater to the anime fans? Compared to the other imas games, it doesn't look very good.

I thought they were really cute except chihaya cause she bullied me and made me sad

>> No.9937523

>>9937510
it uses IMAS2 graphics and some anime PVs.
It's pretty much just a rythym games with videos as backgrounds.

I wouldn't say it caters only for anime fans, it has songs/pvs from the anime, idolmaster 2 and idolmaster 1. Even though the anime was terrible I think I'll enjoy it

>> No.9937534

I probably won't play it. Doesn't look that fun, and I didn't like the anime, which it seems to have a lot of.

Maybe if it was for the Vita I'd check it out.

Are you serious? I thought it was a PSP port of Idolmaster 2. This is disappointing.

If you want Idolmaster 2 just get it for PS3, it'd be better than any PSP port anyway.

im glad im not the only one here who thought the anime was shit.

I was a huge fan of idolmaster before it, but it was just terrible in every way, plus they ruined the twins. looked fugly as fuck in anime form.

What was so bad about it, the extent of my exposure to the franchise was playing the PSP games, and was considering watching the anime.

It did a very bad job of portraying many of the characters and made some questionable decisions during production. Some of the plotlines felt unresolved and I had issues with how underutilized the producer was. The animation outside of concerts was noticeably poor and the average quality of episodes was all over the place. Ultimately it was a nice addition but too many people never go past it and have a warped view of the universe. It also looks like Bandai Namco is making it the flagship of the series which is frustrating. It's fine if you've played SP but personally I thought those were better and you might get let down by the second vision interpretation.

I only decided to get into the franchise after watching the anime and thought it was great (except for a couple of terrible episodes like Hibiki's), then I played the games and realized that they did badly on some of the characterization too. Still something to enjoy about, especially the concert scenes.

>> No.9937728

The show's only redeeming quality was that it made it easier to spot all the tertiary shit stains.

Sounds like both you are making it a point that characterization was poorly done, which in my opinion, is the appeal of the series. Maybe I'll try out a few episodes and see what I think, doesn't sound like it'll be to good though.

There's a general opinion that the first 4 episodes are awful so you might want to stick around a little longer. Some of the other awful episodes later will still catch you by surprise if you're not careful. Otherwise just watch the concert episodes and the OPs/EDs.

I have 3 questions:
1: is iM@S 2 still being sold and able to be imported?
2: is it still like 200$ before other costs?
3: if one were to get it, how would one go about buying DLC for it? Do you need Japanese PSN cards or is there a way to buy virtual yen on Sony's online site? I have a Japanese account already.

You can get The Best version for around $40 on amiami.

And yeah, you would need to buy PSN cards for the DLC if you don't have a Japanese credit card.

Even when it was at full price it was only like a hundred bucks for shipping.

And yea, you have to buy point cards. This is the site I use to buy point cards http://www.solarisjapan.com it's still a markup over the retail price, but a bit cheaper than say play-asia. If you find somewhere cheaper for point cards let me know.

I guess I'm the only one here that loved the show. Though watching the live streams with /a/ and the subsequent threads made following the show much more enjoyable than just watching it alone would have been.
Also, when I was only a few episodes into the series, I started listening to the music, which I fell in love with, and that also increased my appreciation of the series.

You're a secondary. It's mostly primaries that don't like the show (not saying they ALL don't like it though).
