If Remilia is your favorite Touhou, then there's something wrong with you.

Locking her little sister in a basement for several hundred years aside, how can you trust someone whose only employees are a Chinaman and Jack the Ripper?

Flan is not physically locked in the basement, or she could leave at any time. The problem with restraining someone with super strength and the ability to break absolutely anything is that those restraints will only hold until they take issue with them.
