my main problem is that they don't seem to try to capture any of the original atmosphere the games had
this can be done in many different ways, and I guess with this one they did overall a bit better of job than on some of the others, mainly because of the colors and the light

but to me, this is nothing like Touhou, just some anime characters dressed up as Touhous and overacting

Sure, the first one might have been bit too generic animeish and had some stupid stuff, but I fucking enjoyed it immensively and watch it now and then just to remember how much I like it. I remember one friend showing it to me the first time way back when, and I almost burst into treats when I saw Youmu and Yuyuko appear to the screen.
