What light novel are you currently reading /jp/?

>> No.9906098

Tried to read some of Sword Art Online and fell asleep. It's just not good.

Shame I can't get Kino due to the first volume being somehow available somewhere at some point but I just can't find it.

>> No.9906104

Do you have a source for raws or translations for Kino?

For some reason when I searched last year I had a hard time finding them.

It's nice seeing a light novel on Baka Tsuki that is translated quickly.

Is Baka-Tsuki the only place for getting Light novel translations or do you know others?

>>9908277
Most Japanese novels are actually easier reads than fantasy LNs. I had an easier time reading 1Q84 than I had reading Shakugan no Shana. Also, "otaku culture" stuff goes more for the 17-25 demographic. Of course I'm assuming you're talking about stuff like the latest Kodansha Bunko releases or something, not Mishima or Kawabata. Those are classics, only posturing hipsters and university professors care about those.

I don't like honto because there's no way to figure out the exact shipping cost until you order and they tell you. That said if your order is on the lighter side the shipping is way cheaper than places like Amazon. You could make a fairly accurate guess with their price guide, like >>9912451 posted.

Aren't the majority of Baka-Tsuki translations filled with grammatical errors and unedited content? Just reading any of the Index volumes that they rapidly did, you can see that it reads like an elementary school child's essay.
