Raichus have an orange body with a white circle chest with a electric spark on the end of it's long thin tail . It also doesn't have yellow ears but pointy fin shaped ears with swirls on the end so that's out of the question.

That image comes up on google for Nanahira, but what exactly is the source of it? I've seen her and it doesn't really look like her. She is really tiny and really skinny.

People asking why people go to denpa events.... If you want music where looks come first, listen to regular idol music, or just look at models or whatever, geez. One of the best parts of denpa music to me is artists can rely on their voice and never even if have to show their face. Seeing them live is a TON of fun, looks don't matter, it's all about the voice.

>> No.9909812

>>9909796
That's not what I mean. I'm not complaining about their looks at all. It's just that with denpa I usually associate the voices with cute 2D characters.
Seeing the real people behind those voices would destroy that illusion and that's why I can't understand why people would want to go.

Then maybe you should listen to Vocaloid songs? Don't get me wrong, I don't go to events and if you don't want to, don't; but I don't see why it's wrong for other people to go to events to support and interact with their favorite artists; or why it's wrong for a singer to want to experience the beautiful moment when you see lots of people rooting for you.

I don't want to pop your bubble, but most singers, including denpa, sing live. Only doujin ones don't, but from what I've read even おでんぱ☆スタジオ, ココ and 天然ジェミニ have been at the denkyun event. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Denkyun is really awesome. Lots of the performers will just mingle with the crowd during the DJ parts. Usually a 6 hour event is a challenge, but with Denkyun it feels too short! After the live parts are done, you can go buy stuff from the performers and get their autographs and stuff which is cool. The only problem with that is, if the line is too long, you end up missing out on a lot of the DJ parts, which are also really fun. The DJs play denpa songs from all genres and time periods so it doesn't get stale, and the audience is doing otagei the whole time of course.

The whole event you can really tell they are just doing it out of a genuine interest. I'm working on a more detailed write up of the most recent one right now.

Yeah, like most events it is against the rules. Even if the performers are ok with it, a lot of the audience don't want their otaku identities leaking out, so you can almost never take photos at this kind of thing... And in the case of Denkyun, a lot of the artists don't put out any photos publicly so they really don't want their pictures taken. The staff takes pictures but I guess it's more for memories.

Hi, this is denpanosekai. Someone told me about these threads so I thought I'd drop a quick time-sensitive note.

Those who wish to purchase new music from M3-2012秋 have 24 hours left to place an order. Please read this post for instructions and our recommendations:

I would also like to announce that a new interview will be published in the first week of November so please look forward to it.

To answer your question, MOSAIC.WAV have had an international fanbase for a number of years. They performed in Paris in 2009 and I translated part of their website to English prior to the occasion:

http://www.sham.jp/english/sound/discography/index.shtml

As well, さつきがてんこもり was recently invited to perform in Germany, but his vocaloid songs do attract a lot of attention. And かたほとり wrote a song titled "DENPA NO SEKAI" this summer ;)

Otherwise most artists are still genuinely surprised to learn about foreign fans, but we've been briding the gap over the past couple years. I've had some pretty emotional meetings at Comiket; doubleeleven UpperCut, a.k.a.dRESS, Holic Service and とろ美 were particularly thankful.

By the way, I have enabled anonymous comments on denpanosekai.com due to reader feedback. I don't particularly care for people being registered or not, it was a spam-prevention measure. I always enjoy a good conversation about denpa so feel free to ask anything.

Try to put things in perspective. I remember being apprehensive at first. Then I realized that for 6CDs, it works out to 65$ of worldwide shipping + commission for spending a whole day fighting the vicious M3/Comiket crowds. At least the artists get their full money directly from us rather than having to give toranoana their cut. There's also a chance these albums will sell out and not show up in stores.

I can assure you the convenience far outweighs the small premium. These guys are pros and mostly doing for the love of doujin music. All things considered, I'm happy to slip them a couple twenners for the dirty legwork.

If anything, I'm a little bummed that they limit orders to 6CDs and that their deadlines come up way too early.

Winamp or Foobar2000?

>> No.9955974

fb2k, cutie

Winamp was good when Nullsoft made it.
Today fb2k is pretty much the best option out there. Free, no stealth ads, light-weight, lots of plugins, plays everything, can batch tag, batch convert, themes, etc.

I use Zune, it's pretty and groups by album artist and not song artist.

Are these pachinko machines on the left? Did they put it there because Twin Angels is a pachinko franchise?

>> No.9956528

Foobar's equalizer is pretty complex.
Any suggestions on where to start?

Google or try messing around with it.

I think it was a Twin Angel event.

Doesn't seem more complex than >>9925029 to me.

Doesn't the EQ depend on your sound system and speakers anyway? It won't sound the same on every system.

It sounded great on mine but now I have done away with itunes.
I think I figured out the foobar one.

So for foobars equalizer I got this after playing around for a while.
Try it out on denpa songs and see what you think, it's open to modification

You can always use enhancer plugins too.
It depends on the song, I really like boosting the sub-bass a bit on ave;new songs for example.

It depends on the song, speakers/headphones and room you're listening in

I'm more of an idol fan and I don't post here often, but I was searching for information about Misako from Shinsei Kamattechan and I found out this side project of hers, バンドじゃないもん!.

I liked them and I thought you guys would too. They make some really chaotic stuff:

バンドじゃないもん! - パヒパヒ

They play drums and sing. By the way I'm not surprised anymore to see that the composer is 前山田健一 (Hyadain). He sure is quick.

Nice one, thanks for the link. I will check out more of their stuff!
