Danmaku Heaven: angles are terrifying balls of eye-wings and fiery wheels within wheels and all that. They basically bully everyone into worshiping Yahweh. At least, until you danmaku them into submission. After that, they turn into winged pretty-lady angels, or (if they were too weak) into divine essence that you can harvest to heal yourself and your allies (the aforementioned lady-angels).
At the end of the game, you fight Yahweh, but along the way, you have to deal with the limited amount of divine essence that becomes harder and harder to gather as you approach the throne - the angels are stronger, and more likely to be able to become a part of your party. Then you have to make hard decisions - if left on their own, they'll become receptacles for God's Will - but it's becoming harder and harder to heal everyone to full health after a battle. You'll have to start sacrificing the stronger angles you defeat before you get to know them, to gather essence... and as time goes on, some of your old party members, in order to continue.
It's a game of resource management and hard decisions.
