Yes but my perspective of girls is very unrealistic due to spending a lot of time looking at 2D and no time looking at 3D. I want to be the perfect 2D girl, with cute hair, smooth perfect skin, perfect petite form, perfect vagina/etc and I would love to suck a cute cock.

Real girls are actually pretty disgusting. Their vaginas are mostly a wreckage of labia and pubic hair, and they smell as well. Also there are a vast assortment of deformities and unfortunate physical traits haunting the majority of real girls. Also aging. Aging sucks. I don't want that.

Yes, and yes. However, I've accepted that it's never really possible; I cannot be a girl, not really. I could - if I worked extremely hard - be something part-way there. But it wouldn't be enough, and I would be old and saggy and could never achieve what I dream of.

So I confine my femininity to my private sphere, at home, on the internet, and once in a while I find a cute boy to ERP with, so I can take being a girl a step further, if only in my mind, and if only for a few hours.

Short of the discovery of functional magic, or technology that will not be available for hundreds of years yet, if ever, I cannot have what I desire. I just want to be a cute girl.

Then you are not being materialistic by choosing to be entertained rather than sit there bored all day, either.

You're just digging yourself into a hole, bro. Being vain generally goes with being materialisitc. I'll give an example.

Materialistic;vain: Wow, thats pretty, and I might wear it at some point (jewelry) I'll buy it right now and maybe I'll use it later!

Non-materialistic: I'm going to a formal occasion soon, and they expect me to wear a suit, I'll buy it now, because its important and I can use it right away.

materialist: someone with great regard for material possessions.

When that definition was talking about cultural values it was talking about positive values that are gained through a culture, not not obsessing and valuing the materialistic things a culture produces. If i value materials like movies more than friends or my morals and beliefs. I am materialistic.

>So people who watch a ton of anime because they like watching anime are materialist, but people who watch a ton of anime because they hate their lives are not? That's the critical distinction between materialistic and not-materialistic?

Watching anime for the sake of entertainment is not materialistic in any way. People who are materialistic don't buy things with an end in mind, they purchase because it makes them happy.

This is not a difficult concept. Materialists purchase and own goods because material goods make them happy, whereas someone who downloads entertainment because they want to be entertained.

Buying a shirt for a business meeting in not materialistic.

Buying a new dress because "it's like SO cute" and you just have to have it is materialistic.

One person buys a shirt because he needs a shirt for an important meeting.

Kim Kardashian(materialist) buys a dress because purchasing material goods brings her joy.

This is the distinction. Please stop slandering /jp/ with labels like "materialist".

As opposed to saying "I'm a materialist slut who purchases things because owning thousands of pairs of clothes brings me intense amounts of joy."?

She enjoys owning and purchasing clothes. She buys them because she craves them, not with a goal in mind. Just because she rationalizes her purchase with "I like totally would look RUGGED as HELL in these jeans" it doesn't make it not materialistic. The clip was supposed to be an example of a materialistic whore and her obnoxious amount of possessions, I didn't expect you to listen to anything that came out of the turbosluts mouth. The only reason I even knew she existed is because seen "keeping up with the Kardashians" used before as a figure of speech in an essay. I had to look her up to see what she's actually famous for.

I'm really not interested in relationships or sex, so the prospect of being a different gender only appeals to me in that it would have novelty for a short period--the new experience of owning different sexual organs and a body which functions slightly differently would be interesting.

I do, however, long to have a cute, petite female body which I would be able to dress in frilly outfits and admire in a purely non-sexual manner. I don't care whose body this is and furthermore I do not care if the body is cold, hot, alive or dead--but decay would be an issue if I were to take a corpse, so I'll refrain. I may produce a sculpture with which I might satisfy my shameful desire, but somehow I get the feeling that there might be some female who I might establish a mutually beneficial agreement with.

I'm sufficiently talented and qualified to produce something of acceptable quality. Unfortunately, owning a life-sized human-shaped doll dressed in frilly outfits would make me at least twice as creepy as I am already. While I might be okay with this, my living situation does not permit it.

It's a problem, but ultimately unimportant.

I'm about 16 months in, and full time, but I would say I was passable after one year, and the full effects will be felt by two to three years. It's like a second puberty.

Estradiol can be around 50 cents a pill, and spironolactone goes for around 1.50, so you can spend between two to four dollars a day depending on your dosage. I suggest buying medications in bulk.

My voice is okay, I can pass as a girl with no problems, although friends have told me my voice sounds overly airy at times. Hormones won't change your vocal chords, so a feminine voice is reflective of how much effort you put into practice.

My body hair downstairs redistributed itself to a much more feminine shape, and most of my other hair became much finer. Facial hair still happens, and some advocate for laser surgery, but I'm a cheap-ass and I just use an electric razor.

I don't think HRT was the direct cause of it, but I went into my transition sort of liking girls, but as soon as I slept with a man, it was fucking amazing and I now prefer them.

The whole thing's been one big adventure of finding myself.
