So what does /jp/ think of the new chinese vocaloid?
Cute enough? There's a lot of content coming out right now, especially from bilibili which is the nico of China.

She is especially good at traditional chinese music.

Chinese vocaloids and vocaloid songs have existed for quite a while, here are some others, very low quality voices though:

They are all about the green dam, aka internet censorship in China. Anyway, Luo Tianyi is the first official vocaloid I think and that's why she sounds so good.

But yeah, I think the reason they do a lot of traditional Chinese songs on Tainyi is becase her pronunciation isn't really suited for doing faster paced songs like many modern songs are so you can potentially get problems with how it sounds so I think people are waiting for improvements on the software?

In any case, I did a quick search on Baidu and people are suspicious that she was rigged to win since most of the candidate designs for Vocaloid:China looked way too "Miku-like".and the fact that she had an extensive backstory already before she won made a lot of Chinese community suspicious that is is a plot to shove some commercially-made character down their throats which they didn't have a hand it creating. Dunno if it will flop or not for that reason but it doesn't seem like a ton of people are trying to create songs for her.

There is a surplus of men in China. Women, however, have grown fewer in number, thanks to chinese families' tendency to kill off the girls. Thus, you get women who are very, very picky on the man they choose. Only men who actually owns a property or is avobe average wealthy stands a chance.

Luo Tianyi

Hanzi: 洛天依
Age: 15
Height: 156 cm

Tianyi is an angel who came to earth with a mission to spread music to the world. Her character is a little bit introversive, but still she the type of girl who has great empathy and does not give up easily. She admires the Vocaloid from the past, and is dreaming that i day she can do just the same as them- use songs to bring happiness to the world. While she cannot communicate with humans due to the language issues between humans and Vocaloids, she is very sensitive to others emotions and can use songs to express her own emotions and thoughts.

Is believed by the fans to have special relationships with the first human she met on earth-Yuezheng Ling

Special skill: Resonate(共鸣)

Tianyi can detect the "the song of your heart"(心中的歌声) of a person. The "Song" can be interpreted as the strongest emotion a person have at the moment, or a melody that is can represent a person. Even if the person can not express the melody him/herself, Tianyi can still hear it and sing it.

Yuezheng Ling

Hanzi: 乐正绫
Age: 16
Height: 160 cm

Yuezheng Ling is a lively high school student. Her family is running a huge company- the Yuezheng company which makes instruments and misic. She character is veru straight forward and can be seen blunt sometime( typical North Chinese character). She is extremely energetic-as much as 3/4 of a day can be spend on running around all over the places. She loves misic and huge, fluffy things. As forgiving as Ling, she still has some girly issues messing with her life, too. The biggest problem seems to be from her bigger brother...?

She is believed by the fans to have special relationships with Luo Tianyi( for further information please check the second episode of the demo anime of the Vocaloid China Project)

Yuezheng Longya

Hanzi: 乐正龙牙
Age: 23
Height: 180 cm

He is Ling's older brother and the heir to the Yuezheng corporation. a bot with agility of mind, he is looked forward by many others. Just like his sister, he is straight foreward( typical Nothern Chinese...) and he also possess the ability to make important decisions correctly and the strong aura of a superior. The only weakness of Longya is that he hates troublesome issues, and the only time he is not troubled by troublesome issues is when they are related to his smaller sister. He is very protective toward his sister, and can become a little bit hysterical when dealing with things related to his sister......a siscon, thats what he is\( ´ ▽ ` )~*

Mo Qingxian

Hanzi: 墨清弦
Age: 17
Height: 171 cm

She is a fashionable high school student. Because of her elegant and mature outlook, she is extremely popular in her highschool. Eventhough seem to be mysterious character, it is actually due to her poor health which gives her slow reaction time....... She dresses fashionably most of the time, yet her action shows great elegancy and triditional beauty. Qingxian loves triditional Chinese literature and poems, and is capable of playing many triditional Chinese instruments skillfully. She is slow reacting, but is still trying her best to take care of the juniors and the people around her. She also has a tendency to become philosophical all of a sudden.

Zhiyu Moke

Hanzi: 徵羽摩柯
Age: 14
Height: 150 cm

A genius with an IQ of 168 Eventhough he is always wearing a smile which seems warming and innocent to everyone, he is actually an Otaku of Otaku. Starting threats in forums, editing MVs, uploading MVs, he has been seen as a "god" by some people on the internet......He is sometime mistaken as a girl, eventhough he claimed that he hates it, but there are rumors of a popular cross dresser coser appearing in various comic cons who looks very similar to him......the truth is still unknown. Because he usually doesn't talk a lot, most people will take him as a "nice boy", but will reveal his true self of an Otaku when with his close friends. Can act somewhat like a professional debater when talking about anime or other Otaku subject. On the contrast he tends to react poorly to subjects that are not of his interests.
