Mental Disability, plus I work part time as a "courtesy clerk" at a grocery store so that I feel like less of a leech. I calculated it once, and found I'd make more money not working, but as low as life form as I am, I can at least push carts and bag people's groceries a few days a week.

And for those of you who think that mental problems are made up, I'll just say that you should be grateful for the fact that you can't imagine a situation where your own mental faculties could be inadequate for basic survival. You may think that you've spent your whole life working for everything you have, and for that reason despise those who think they've had it harder based simply on something being wrong with their heads, but as honest as your own effort might be, some people are born to fail, and denying the existence of difficulties beyond the ones you personally face is incredibly ignorant.

I think it depends a little on how exactly you define profession. If it's enough to just produce a commodity, then hunter or gatherer would be earlier professions. But if you have to trade this commodity for another commodity before it counts... then you'd have two different professions becoming the first professions at the first time. For example, a guy tells this girl he'll give him some mammoth meat he just gathered if the girl has sex with him. Then the professions of hunting and prostitution would be born at the exact same time.
