Being on the poor side growing up I learned you should always buy things when you can on sales since you may not have the money to later. Bread is one thing that we used to buy a lot of and using the fridge was a great way to keep it from going bad. So now anytime I get more bread then I'm using at the time I'll toss the extra in the fridge. Force of habit.
