Why do people on Touhou Characters Popularity Polls always vote for the most shitty ones, such as Reimu, Alice and Sakuya, while characters such as Cirno, Rumia, Star Sapphire and Tewi never make it on the Top Ten...

I used to not care for Reimu that much (didn't actively dislike her though) but playing as her so often in games and seeing her personality in dialogue with lots of different characters made her grow on me. I would think that any true tou-bro would probably get to the point where they can at least tolerate her character, if not enjoy it. If they didn't they probably would have to stop playing some of the Touhou games because Marisa sucks to play as in a few of them.
