Surely I'm not the only one who's excited. I wonder what Shibayan's new album is going to be like.

Sounds great. Can't wait for NEETs and Shibayan.

Bumping.

I've been totally out of touch with Touhou for some months because my non-Touhou music backlog became too big, juicy and delicious to bear.
Does that mean I don't care about Touhou music that much? Or is music not really as important in life as I thought? Will I forget all that "unforgettable" music (I'm looking at you, Border of Life arranges http://y2u.be/rvPd05374b0)) after I go into my next phase? This isn't exactly my comfort zone.

For the time being, more C-CLAYS is always better.

The crossfade demo is... lacking, though.

Looking forward to Halozy and NEETs

There's just so many times you can arrange the same songs over and over. I'm bored of them too and I haven't even been listening to them for that long.

Bad for you.
I still love them. Opened up my Touhou folder just to celebrate and listening to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWZ9vKbGvWI
Still love that arrange and the original as much as the first time I heard them. Fate of Sixty Years is excellent.
I like the music, the instruments, some lyrics. I love to hear what parts they add and how they go with the original song.
Then I almost forget about everything Touhou for months when other music takes its place.
If I got a job and a dog would I forget about fun things in general? Too mutable. I don't like it one bit.
Sorry for turning a 紅楼夢 thread into a 拷楼夢 thread.

Yuuhei Satellite will have a new album too!

Which is partly the reason why Shibayan's been using more and more original stuff in his arranges. A good thing because he's a pretty good composer.

Will be listening to everything I can find as usual.
As for any special mention, Pizuya's Cell's album seems interesting. I always keep an extra eye out for anything featuring non-game arrangements and other more obscure originals.

>>9808741
There are 13 Touhou games that have 100% original soundtracks (except PoFV), plus 7 music albums, 5 spin-off games and even a few manga/book-related tracks. But of course, if you only listen to UN Owen and Border of Life you'll tire of those quickly.

You're not completely alone. I'm like that too. No idea how many people like us that are on /jp/ these days though.

>> No.9814273

>>9814211
I haven't listened ONLY to Touhou, but I've spent quite some time with it. At least the full discography of 100 circles, and of course I've listened to a few circles at least that much. Around five years, I think? I started with Touhou music a bit before Doujinstyle's predecessor (how was it called?) went down and became Doujinstyle.
And no, I'm not bored one bit. Old simplistic arranges, crazy new creations, I love them all.
But as I said before, I'm not really -attached- to Touhou either.
So, still love listening to it but I won't complain about being away from my favourite circles for months.

>> No.9814293

>>9814273
>>9814231
There's just something about those doujin artists and how they can turn a song we all know and love into something almost completely different is amazing.
I had no idea this was a Master Spark arrange until a few days ago.

Yeah, I have no idea how I'm still not bored of them either. Hell, even those piano arranges that mostly sound the same are still among my favorites.

>> No.9814325

>>9814300
Humm, sorry man but that's not Touhou. I can't call that Touhou. Even if the artist says it's an arrange. It's not my type of music so I can't say if it's good or bad, but you're listening to 100% original music there. Not that that's bad or anything.

How the fuck did I quote a post that wasn't there when I started the reply.
Sorry, it was meant to quote >>9814293

>> No.9814413

>>9814293
>>9814231 here

I guess I'm kind of the opposite of >>9814273, because the emotional attachment I have to Touhou and it's music is one of the biggest reasons I haven't "moved on" to other music, I just can't enjoy it as much when I don't have that positive emotional association.

All in all I also just enjoy the community very much in the way that so many different genres and types of musicians and skill levels can coexist so closely, and all the different interesting collaborations that come with it.
