How not to argue on the Internet?

How do you take it easy when someone is totally wrong?

How do you feel when he doesn't respond?

>> No.9775365

i like to just sort of turn it into a joke, when someone is being way too serious, so they realize the err of their internet-arguing ways

I stop being an autist for a few minutes until the feeling goes away

>How do you take it easy when someone is totally wrong?
He's obviously retarded. He is so wrong that nobody will believe what he says (so you don't need to worry about him misleading people with his garbage), and so retarded that he will never change his mind (so trying to convince him is pointless). These people are to be pitied and left alone.

>How do you feel when he doesn't respond?
You win. You also win if he responds with an ironic shitpost; see above. (Well, either you've won, or you're so retarded that nobody thinks you're worth talking to, but you can always pretend it's because you've won.)

I don't argue or respond to any negative comments directed at me.

>> No.9775402

When people start arguing with me or saying mean things, I ignore them and close the thread then pretend it doesn't exist.

Negative comments make me feel bad, so I just ignore confrontation.

I do this too. I always win internet arguments

Don't reply to stupid shit obviously

I do this often when the person I'm arguing with just won't give up.

I've had to leave arguments before. The worst was when I realized I wasted 14 hours arguing with the guy. After I realized that, I finally just let him "win."

Whenever I get in an argument I never swear, I never insult anyone, and I make sure to not state any of my personal opinions as fact.

Usually that will prevent the other person from getting too angry, and we can both take it easy while sharing our views. It doesn't work on posters from /a/ and /v/ though. They're only interested in name-calling and getting angry.

The problem is that often the person I'm arguing with will do those things.

That just makes you look like a condescending asshole.
