The problem with naming good western artists is that you can't tell they're western, not from their art at least.

And the only people who pride themselves on being western are talentless hacks who mask their lack of skill with cartoonish mannerism, which certainly doesn't help matters. It's like it's some kind of special needs category, they're unable to have any worth as artists without adjectives, so they need to give themselves a label that makes them unique and somehow deserving of attention.

/jp/ dared me to visit DeviantArt once and it was a real eye-opener. It actually has its share of decent, reasonably competent artists, many of whom, I assume, must be from outside of Japan (since otherwise they'd be on Pixiv instead). They're just being overshadowed by all those obnoxious retards who gave the site its bad name.
