I practice a form of mantra meditation each day to clear my mind.

I sit on the floor and make a deep and loud humming sound which makes my vocal chords vibrate. After some time I will switch to yelling out a sound over and over again and then I will switch back to the deep humming. After 45 minutes my timer rings and I begin my day.

The purpose of this is that the mind can not wander when you are making loud and strange sounds. You get into a trance state after a few minutes of chanting and your mind is perfectly clear.
