I don't know about you, but playing a wizard (or cleric or druid) was basically Easy Mode in D&D 3.5 due to the way casters were vastly more powerful than the non-casters. As long as you knew how to play a wizard right (picking buffs, save-or-dies, and battlefield control spells, NOT picking damage spells like Fireball and Meteor Swarm), you were all good. Then again, Constitution shouldn't be your dump stat, because you need it for hit points, and in fact, it should be your second highest stat.

In D&D 4.0, however, wizards got an overhaul as part of the project to make all the classes balanced against each other, and now, good wizards are reliant on Intelligence and Wisdom.
