SO I've never been to this corner of the internet but I figure you guys might be able to help me with an issue.

You see, I have a few bags of ramen, but I want to get creative in how I prepare it. Do you fuckers have any good ramen noodle recipes that don't require many obscure ingredients?

I usually get these and just throw some meat up in there.

You should also try draining the water. Then you add meat, some vegetables, black pepper, chili paste, japanese soy sauce, and top it off with a french omelette.

I guarantee it will be the best fucking dish you have ever made. Would also work with rice instead of noodles.

If you do that too much you'll get kidney stones.

Bump for interest. I add a bit of Sriracha id I want it spicy, and pees, carrots and corn if I have some lying around.

I really want to prepare some beef and throw it on top of a huge bowl of ramen.

No, he's bullshitting. If you're going to drink the broth, at least use some actual broth, not just the packet mixed with water. Broth is easy. You can make broth with leftover fried chicken if you really want to.

I love ramen but I don't like it soupy with a lot of water.

I have mastered the microwave cooking method and optimized keeping the water count low while still retaining flavor.

Is the trick just to use less water if you don't want it so soupy? Or just cook it for longer so the water evaporates?

Do you boil the water with the noodles in them already? If you are, stop.

Boil the water separately, and add the noodles when it's done. Then, when the noodles look done, dump most of the water into the sink. At this point, if you want them creamy, add a little milk.

Try not to pour out too much water, or the powder congeals and doesn't season properly.

Sounds like I should start using milk then, I love it creamy.

What's funny is noodles contain little nutrition as it is, and when you drain the water you're sending that nutrition down the drain. This is the same thing thing that people do to vegetables, don't do this with vegetables you're throwing your money down the drain.

I like your bowl.

>>9736383
Well. It's either watery noodles, or nutrition... which would you prefer? But yeah, definitely. Steaming vegetables is actually worse than grilling them, I've heard.

Salt doesn't give you kidney stones, it gives you high blood pressure. On that note ramen has tons of salt and saturated fat which is really unhealthy to eat on a regular basis. I switched to pasta which is about the same price but almost all carbs.

>using peas in ramen or in any kind of food ever

I fucking hate peas. I am a man of an exquisite pallet and I like most any kind of food but peas are just so unappealing and I never liked them.
