Hello /jp/ I'm an aspiring Geomancer and I think I can help you communicate with your favorite Touhou or any other 2D character. This exercise will only take 5 minutes and anyone can do it. You will need a piece of paper, a pencil, and possibly a scanner.

You must begin by writing down the name of the character at the top of the page. It can't be a random character. She has to mean something to you, otherwise the connection won't be strong enough. Then close your eyes, take a deep breath and think of a question you'd like to ask her while holding the pencil in your hand. Start drawing circles, while slow letting the Touhou take control of your hand. Draw (or write) everything that comes into your mind. don't think of what the drawing will look like- this will sever the connection. Just let it flow. If you're having trouble with this last step, try rotating the paper randomly with your other hand while drawing, it will confuse the rational side of your brain.

Then, scan the image or transcribe the text. I will interpret the Touhou's response.

I interpret lines and shapes drawn in a state of trance. I mostly work with sand, but experts can work with any kind of material. Mud, rocks, tea leaves, even dice (all forms of divination tap into the same law)
I prefer paper and pencil because it's easier to practice on
