That's sorta like how some chicks look better in thigh-highs and a teeny skirt than they would butt naked. I think they actually did some kind of scientific (or pseudo-scientific) study once that came out with the conclusion that humans look hotter to one another in bikinis than they do absolutely naked. Might be a similar principle at work, especially since you say you're "disappointed" with the full pics you found.

Also, just curious, just how the fuck do people find full pics from crops instead of thumbnails? Reverse image search wouldn't work, right? Unless I'm missing something.

Mr >>9710380 guy here, my best guess is recognising the artist (for example buttcrops.jpg up thee is takanon, I believe) and/or character and/or fetish keyword, and just searching by tag, by hand.

But obviously I really don't know that there isn't a much better way than that. I kinda suspect there is.

Since you have part of an image and the full image you can compare them and find a match. The thumbnail is a completely different image. Usually you will find the fullsize if you reverse a thumbnail though.

I meant when you reverse image search it. Google has the full image (or rather knows where it is) and you have part of it.
You give the part to Google and it returns the full.

Google Image Search apparently can find the source of a cropped images. It managed to for >>9710367

IQDB can't do that, but it can do fuzzy matching. For example if someone has a screenshot of their desktop with a nice wallpaper, you can crop out any letterboxing and it will find it. Or even with picture related, crop it down to the picture of the computer screen, and it can find it.
