Since this is already a music thread, do you think playing an instrument is a good NEET hobby? Seeing that most enjoyable music consists of at least two components (a singer and someone playing an instrument), and I'm not faggot enough to enjoy my own male singing voice, it might not be the best.

Your argument isn't very convincing.

It all depends on your level of commitment. Most teachers would say 15 to 30 minutes of practice a day is enough if you're only treating it as a hobby. Me, I can hardly find any incentive to play my violin, seeing as how I'm not good at it and I can't play the songs I want right off the bat (which is incredibly naive of me, I know), so I forego daily practice altogether and just drag myself to class nowadays.

Then again, playing the violin is kinda hard. Maybe you'll have better luck with another instrument. Don't expect to have fun taking time out of your day to practice though. In my opinion, that's just like saying that working every day is fun.

If you like music and have time and motivation, sure, why not. It's hard as HELL and without great motivation you might just end up with a $1000-2000 instrument hanging on the wall and never getting used.

Don't do it, it's not worth it. you'll quit after a few months because it's way too much work and be left with some piece of shit instrument gathering dust

if you didn't learn an instrument as a kid it's too late!!!!!!!!!!

don't do it man!! unless you want a really fancy clothes hanger or coffee table then don't make the same mistake so many others have

instruments are garbage

If instruments were garbage, they wouldn't be called instruments. Dummyhead.

I can't argue with that logic.

Make me proud >>9710832 and learn the instrument of your dreams. Come back and show us your progress in a few months. I wanna see how thick, solid and tight your instrument playing skills have become

Have to re-build my music collection from almost scratch, kinda sucks but just remembering how much stuff I've found just from the station alone.
