i live in new york, not the city, but closer to canada. i think the weather here is ideal. the summer is average 80, seeing both 70s and 90s, while winter brings sub 30s, and the weather is pretty unpredictable as a year or two ago we had a snowy day in october, while possibly rain in winter, or really hot in spring. it's pleasantly all over the place at times.. but with no natural disasters like florida or japan.

but really i think the problem with both is the humidity and lack of winter, not the fact that the temperature is high in the summer

Why is it that threads that don't have anything to do with "otaku culture" bring out the worst bunch of /a/b/v/-normals with their epic greentexting and feels?

This thread has everything with "otaku culture", since these japanese streets are used as an inspiration for the scenarios in many VN.

All those who commented on the clean streets like its the first clean street you ever saw in your life, where do you live?
Just curious because from some of the comments its like a wizard cleaned the streets but it looks kind of normal where I live anyway.

I didn't say that, but my city is disgusting. They chuck like 4 inches of sand on the major roads during the winter (largely without rhyme or reason) and then never really clean it up. In the spring there is legitimately 2-3' tall piles of sand on the median left over after the plowing piles melt and there's gravel everywhere alongside the street for months into the riding season.

Unsurprisingly everything is brown and gritty pretty much all year round.

The concept of hygiene doesn't exist here for some reason. Even in the capital or major cities, the streets are dirty as fuck, not to mention the terrible traffic.

It looks clean not just because it isn't flooded with trash, but also because it doesn't look full of dust.
I've heard several times that washing the street in front of your house with a hose is a common habit in Japan, while it's quite rare where I live. Just some old people do it here.

The streets in my hometown don't look all that bad, just not very cute or cozy at all.
