A man was sentenced to more than 4,000 years in prison Wednesday for sexually assaulting three teenage girls over two years.

Jurors sentenced him to 40 life prison terms — one for each sex assault conviction — and 20 years for each of the three sexual performance of a child convictions.

He will be eligible for parole in the year 3209, according to the Parker County District Attorney's Office.

What is with sentences of finite, yet definitely longer than the average human lifespan, amounts? Do they assume that people can live that long? Really, I think it is an abuse of power, and it's certainly amoral to leave a criminal in the hands of the next 50 generations' care. What bastards they are to do such a thing.

Also, I didn't think that was illegal in Japan.
