It's German. It means young/small/cute woman.

It's now concidered very patronizing.

>> No.96478

Because she has a cute voice. Below is the song that got me into her in the first place:

Since when?

In German, Fräulein (literally, "little woman" or "little Mrs.", pronounced /ˈfɹɔɪlaɪn/, colloquial form Frollein) is used as a title for young girls and to address waitresses. Historically, it was used as a title for unmarried women as opposed to Frau for married women. It is used with the first name or last name (Fräulein Anna or Fräulein Schmidt).

It is now considered preferable to address all women as Frau (plus last name).[1][2] According to the Oxford Dictionary, Fräulein can still be used when addressing very young women, such as gymnasium students by their teachers, or underage girls.[3] Another surviving usage of Fräulein in some regions is to address waitresses.[4]

Well, to start with, there is tons of fanart, and they make songs for miku every day. There isn't a day in which I don't see a new Vocaloid song in niconico.

It's pretty much the whole concept of a virtual girl you can take home and have sing for you.

That video of Reset is a pretty good example of how cute she can be, but it's not the best out there. She still sounds a little arteficial and fake.

First song I heard her sing was True My Heart. I listed to a few other songs thinking "Vocaloid" was a group name or something. >_< I thought she was a real girl singing. So for me, my fascination is with how well she can be made to sing. Sometimes really good, sometimes, really poorly.

Robot voice is moe. Users don't tune it to sound human for a reason.

>> No.98988

I'm not a fan of robot-voice, but god damn it, she's the cutest thing ever.

>> No.99006

I think Rin/Ren are less popular because their voices have less robotic defects.

I still want to know the composer of the songs "Packaged" and "Strobo Nights". They're the best I've ever heard.
