You have to remember that when TD first came out, she had a lot of controversy surrounding her gender for a short while. (Which is really strange, since again, Miko is canonically closer to being a male). She also has a pretty hilarious pose in her official TD portrait. I guess she's a little bit more memorable than Miko.

Which, again, is unfortunate because I love Miko.

Meanwhile, it was revealed the ghost girl is a ghost because Futo randomly backstabbed her and destroyed her ritual process. She was supposed to become an immortal just like Futo. The worst part is that Futo did it for absolutely no reason. They were from enemy clans but they both betrayed their clans to be loyal to Miko, and yet Futo randomly screwed her own ally over just for lulz or paranoia.

Futo didn't randomly screw Tojiko for lulz or paranoia. To put it briefly, Futo's family lost to Tojiko's family in the past, so it could have been Futo holding a grudge against her. This is coming from Tojiko's SoPM article.
