So I just got through Mahoyo trial.

Why is this so much better than previous Nasu's works? Characters are actually fun and interesting. Their interactions are funny. Alice's magic is amazing. Atmosphere is great and I love that old mansion with witches feel.

Why do people hate Mahoyo again?

Mahoyo isn't a bad title.
Personally I liked chapter 5 a lot (mostly due to how awesome it looked though), Alice was really cute and overall it was pretty gripping once it got going (everything before chapter 5 is pretty slow though).
But in the end you just get the feeling it was normally good, 普通.

That's what it is, after finishing I immediately started a new title and I barely think about it anymore, it was good to waste some time but nothing more.
It didn't manage to create a catharsis, nothing about the plot or the setting introduced is very interesting, the characters themselves aren't either (I liked Alice and surprisingly Soujurou by the end but nothing more)
The battles themselves while they were orgasmic production-wise but that's all, I found the narration pretty lacking for the most part.

Personally I would like to see the reasons why some people can consider it more than that

i like KnK, tsukihime and mahoyo much better than the fate franchise, especially with all the additional fate shit put out lately. (though F/Z was good)
