It might be worth it if it was 2001 again. Now there are plenty of free alternatives out there that won't ban you for accidentally forgetting a comma or not capitalizing a proper noun.

Nowadays it has basically turned into a hangout for whiny internet slacktivists, but again there is a free alternative in Tumblr. So I don't know why people pay for SA. Perhaps if improper grammar really bugs you that much, then it is worth the ten bucks.
