This one i've had the chords down for quite a while, already notated it in sibelius too. Drums part done, probably going to run the MIDI through a VST in cubase and then multitrack.
Melody is nonexistant, not because i dont want one, but because i really have no ideas for it.

A more "emotional" track i came up with just now. Thought it sounded cool, so i recorded it in addition to Bow. Haven't even named it yet, and my playing is also extremely shoddy.
If i manage to write all the other parts for this one, I'll just send it to a singer i know and get her to write a melody.

You have great natural timing also, and being able to keep a clean concentration for the whole duration of your recordings. How many attempts did you try might I ask?

well the problem is that my castings are not great since I can't afford the good stuff, so there are a lot of defects I have to fix. In time though when I get better and get better stuff I can be able to make a cast and it is perfect.

grab an anatomy book and a figure drawing book and open it and start studying. You're figure looks extremely stiff and the chin looks like a pointed rock. I'll recommend Michael Hampton for figure drawing as it's pretty simple to understand. After you get some of the basics down study on figure drawing for what it's worth.

i would highly recommend studying from a good figure drawing book and staying away from anything that sounds like HOW TO DRAW ANIME because you won't learn anything besides how to trace.

My favorite authors for figure drawing is Loomis and Burne Hogarth's Dynamic Anatomy.

for the VM one it took me around 4 times to get it to what i think i can do without any practise. I only came up with it in the 20 minutes i was home. I've had practise with bow but it still isnt as tight as i want it to be.

I think being a double bassist in an orchestra+jazz band for 5 years may have helped in my timing...

Asking you to install various software to download files is a tip off, but hey many sites do it now, even legit stuff like adobe. I just don't trust anything which requires you to do unnecessary things.

Yeah, my timing with piano and violin is good from being in a symphony, but guitar I just can't get precise enough to what I want. Probably the style I write in though, mostly use electric power chords, whereas your jazzy style has more freedom.

I'll search around through my folders and try upload some more of my music in the next few days for anyone interested.

Here's an idea. Draw these requests, but in a daily routine style. Like for example, meido wakes up, practice her katana skills by breaking an european broadsword, cleans /jp/ with a vacuum cleaner, and then making the futo pose after cleaning everything. Then she goes back to sleep. It would attend to everyone's requests and it would be creative and cute.

The reason is he cannot draw, and rather than practice and learn to do it, he utterly convinced himself that drawing is 100% talent and no matter how much he practices he will never become good at it. Magister actually gave the guy advice on what he should do to become better, but all he ever did was be pissed and respond how it was easy to say for someone like him because he had talent and he doesn't.

He is either incredibly lazy to the point of making up excuses to be lazy, or mentally retarded. Or a combination of those two.

Okay, someone in the last thread said you don't have to leave the house to draw from life but I decided to go to the park and give it a shot anyway. I sneaked behind this woman who was listening to music and drew her.

(she wasn't actually wearing those socks, I added those myself)

some things I want to ask:

what am I supposed to be looking at when drawing? the lines, the tip of the pencil, or the person/animal?

I think you're worrying too much. When you start drawing from life, take it easy and learn how to observe things. Use a soft pencil and don't try to go meticulously over every little detail. Focus on stuff like understanding the poses , the proportions, perspective, the distances between the objects, etc... Don't waste one hour sketching a single scene, at this point you get most from your practice by doing lots of 5 minute studies instead.

Use photographs to practice as well. Put a date on your drawings and keep them so you can get a feel of improvement when look back at both your drawings and the pictures you used. If all goes well you should be able to notice your mistakes within weeks.

Wow. This is great! I never really intended to incorporate drawing much since I'm terrible at drawing, but if you're interested we can use art made by you. Uses could be for promotional purposes, in-game face portraits during dialogue, the title screen, or perhaps an unlockable art gallery.

If you would like to play roles in other aspects of the game development, that's fine too. Perhaps character design or character development (since each character you can develop a stronger relationship with will have additional backstory).

If you decide that you don't want to contribute more though, thanks for the picture anyway. It was a very pleasant surprise.

While agreeing it's strange to look at, I'm not really used to shade, so it's just natural. That aside, even with the background being completely white, the guy's not supposed to be in a room with much light.
And speaking of references, even with not using it, im trying a style somewhat similiar to the one used in "Utsuho of the Void".
Though both of you are quite right. I'm not skilled in shading. Pretty bad, in fact.

The thing is, you cannot get such strong shadows without a strong light. If you are trying to cast a pure black shadow, you will need a nearly blinding light source to do it. There are still some grey areas on his left side, and that implies that the light coming from that side is not very strong, certainly not strong enough to set his other side pitchblack.
