Alright, I have a question for you guys. There's a NEET from here I want to get along with. I know that he on some level also desires company and is afraid of seeking it out on his own. Problem is, he's too autistic to express when he wants or doesn't want my company.

How do I deal with this? Just push on and hope that he won't get scared and block me? Or tread carefully and risk that he'll think I don't care about him?

That's a good question. Strangely enough I'm on the opposite side you are, I have someone who I know IRL back when I was in school who constantly messages me on Steam. Usually he just sends a "hey!" and leaves it at that. When I'm brave enough to reply it often leads to him asking if I'm free or if I want to do anything.

I'm not sure if it's simply because I just haven't seen him in a long while or because I'd probably have very little, if anything, to discuss with him. He is very normal and intelligent so the thought of "why does he even bother trying to contact me" comes to my mind pretty much every time he tries PMing me.
It's basically gotten to a point where I don't log in to Steam anymore. I don't want to block him because it would probably make me feel even worse about it and I don't want him to feel like he has done anything wrong.

So as someone speaking on the other side, I would suggest you tread carefully and not try pushing it too far. If he doesn't react well, just give up. There's nothing worse than trying to obtain a friendship that only one person actually wants.

Sounds less like depression and more of a return to old habits. I'm very much the same when it comes to being motivated to do things outside of internet/ games. I'm not expert on psychology, but I'm going to take an educated guess and say that if you reward yourself more for doing non e-hobby things, you'll find yourself sticking to them a lot more.

Of course there's the problem of getting back in to those abandoned hobbies, but you just have to push yourself a little bit I suppose.

With most people, it's easy to see how much they're interested in talking to you by how eagerly they interact. But some people can't seem to express this even when they want to talk to you. how often do you guys go out to get groceries?

I only go out once a week for an hour or less if I can help it, but the milk and bread doesn't last a full week so it's a bit annoying.

Usually once every two weeks. I buy in bulk, and I usually only go very early in the morning when almost nobody is there. I just walk in, grab my stuff, and self-checkout. Never have to open my mouth and the few people that are there never bother me. It's kind of nice.

It's been about 11 days since I left the house at all. I had a driving lessons 11 days ago, should have had one this Saturday gone, but didn't get any sleep the night before so didn't feel up to it. Now I have to wait another week for my next lesson since the instructor is on holiday.

I just went for a stroll on impulse at around 4AM.

The view was absolutely stunning. The sun was maybe less than an hour from fully rising, the skies were devoid of clouds and the air was quite foggy.

Glorious colors painted above the forest line covered in fog with dark blue sky above and the moon and stars still visible.

It was beautiful as HELL.
