is a bad idea to take sleeping pills to sleep? I can't go to bed at night

>> No.9568537

If you plan on doing it every night, yes. If you have responsibilities where you have to wake up at certain times, you'll hate yourself for doing that.

Try to talk to a doctor about insomnia, if you can't just deal with it/fuck your brain with sleeping pill dependency.

Start reading a VN. The boring animeplots will lead you into lala-land (better turn of the annoying high pitched animevocals before you start).

Speaking of sleeping pills...

Is this some kind of household staple of sleeping pills in Japan or something? I saw it in Hyouka and then in some random porn on pixiv recently.

>> No.9568630

What do you mean by "sleeping pills"?

Z-drugs like Ambien or Lunesta? Benzos? Random OTC drug?

Sleeping pills is pretty broad. But I personally would say taking any drug to sleep is always bad. Your body will eventually put itself to sleep without them.

I don't know about your country but I got tried of asking for prescription every goddamn time.
I was taking it every night and i don't know about dependency... I used to start a whole ritual reading manga, drinking hot milk and relaxing before going to sleep.

Just do some actual stressful activity like exercise to tire yourself out.

Ask for Remeron (Mirtazapine).

It's the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I can sleep whenever I want. It also makes me have very vivid dreams. Just take it when you want to go to sleep. It says it's also an anti-depressent, but I haven't noticed anything.

If you have a job or something, then I suggest you do not take this drug. You'll have some kind of narcolepsy the first few times you take it. It'll go away after a week or so of taking it.

This drug will make your life much better.

Ask your doctor about for a sleeping pill that doesn't have addictive qualities.

I was prescribed seroquel. It's used to treat psychosis, however it can also be prescribed for insomnia. Also because it isn't addictive the doctors don't mind handing them out.

Pick one.

Do some exercise every day.

Personally all I do is walk for a straight hour at lunch and it's a huge difference to just lying in bed all day.

I never had withdraw symptoms and I took it for months then suddenly stopped. The op is talking about taking it every night (I assume) because he can't sleep. He shouldn't need to worry.

Dependency is bad.

Your experience doesn't discredit the fact that seroquel can and does cause horrible withdrawals for people. (because it is an addictive drug)

>He shouldn't need to worry.

You don't even know what drug he's talking about. He just said "sleeping pills".

>> No.9568924

It's not that big of a deal, by try not to do it all the time. I take diphenhydramine a couple times a week, and it makes sleeping feel fucking awesome. I like to take them a few hours before bed and then jerk off and watch anime in my sedated state.

So, go for it.

>> No.9574618

just make it a last resort try every trick in the book and then take 'em. Also insomnia is more of a psychological disorder then a physical so just ignore the "i can't sleep" placebo and have a good fregin' night.
