You picked one of the hardest chars... Also when we talk about "what char" it means the moon too (which I'm assuming is Crescent moon in your case). If that's the case, the simplest combo I can think about is crouching A, B, C, standing A, B, jumping A, B, C rejumping B, C into airthrow. Does shitty damage (~3,5k on CVsion) but it's the simplest I can think of. If you happen to play H or F miyako then you're quite screwed though.

GGs. Gotta say, the highlights were definitely that one KO with Hisui's 214C where I swore it was a double KO, but you won and that time you used 22C oki and I tried using WLen's dash to avoid it, only to learn that that don't work. Great prediction or wonderfully lucky choice of move on that one. Only thing I can say is you really, really gotta learn to block on wake-up and how to block air to ground transitions. That's what killed you and that's all I abused once I learned how well that worked on you. I was trying to tricky shit like command grab okis when I should have just been using meaties. Good games, t'was quite fun.

i'm probably going to host again after taking this shower. and just a bit of advice, you should probably tone down on the wakeup heats and shielding. i know the temptation to last arc is great, but it's important to remember that for every time it works, there are 20 times where it fails and you eat a counterhit combo. not gonna lie, i got mad as hell whenever you got me with one of those, but the point stands.

Thanks, I've gotten kind of in the habit of that. When I blood heat at the arcade, half the guys I know spam projectiles and the other half spam attacks so I kind of do it without thinking. And I think 2 guys know a combo more than like 6 inputs long and nobody seems to be able to combo very well of random hits. I'm still not that familiar with what moves would serve as good reversals and what EX's would be worth using for combo extenders or whatever, so my meter management is still usually poor.

Haha, I actually laughed out loud at some of those matches (jumping and then watching you go into a mistimed EX-Dust), so it was fun for me too.
I wanted to see what happened if I played away, and see the extent of Ex-Shielding timing over netplay against projectiles. Also, you were nailing some of those combos, but the reason why I stick to one Ex-Dust and then go into a BnB aircombo is that it's less damage, but more reliable in netplay thingamajigs.

I also gotta practice something other than Hisui... I could only remember her moves correctly.

GG's, thanks for the games. Your WLen has gotten better since last night. There's no way to block the Another version of Nanaya's Arc Drive, the range is to his upper back, and as long as that passes by, the hitboxes that activate cover the entire screen. If you're Crescent or Half you can sidestep dodge, but for Full the best you can do is hope to get above Nanaya, which is why I always tried to get you in the corner before using it. I would jump up or up-back, d.j, and airdash past. Make sure you stay above him for the whole thing, the hitbox doesn't seem to disappear until his first foot hits the ground. I'm trying to get frame data for you but I just got this program and I'm not sure how it works. It's Frame Display, v2.3 if you wanted to see it. Handy for all sorts of things.

Relatively simple and rushdown/upclose dmg, so I'd say Shiki T. is more similar

Damn I don't know, but Nero has a similar, shittier forward dash, maybe Sacchin.

After playing a bit in training mode, I think I'm going to go with F-Kouma. His bnbs are probably going to be annoying in netplay, but it's okay. C-Kouma seems like the better moon, but it feels like I'm missing something with him.

As for my subs, I'll probably start out with C-Nanaya, F-Aoko, and C-Roa. They all seem like decent starter characters, for the most part. H-Ryougi seems like a good choice as well.

If anyone would be willing to answer, I'm looking for a bit of advice.

I'm currently trying to practice my combos with C Nanaya, and a lot involve the jbc jbc airthrow bit, but for the life of me I cannot get that second jbc in. I'll get the first jbc in fine, but after that I'll either ding the enemy with one hit and they'll get away from me or I end up doublejumping at the wrong time and missing that part completely.

Anything I can do to get it down?

>> No.9583960

For 2A>5C>5BB>aerial you'll need to make sure you're getting the automatic super jump. You can just hold up when inputting 5BB. Most damaging. Pretty much every frametrap that comes to mind is basically this. etc.

I assume you just didn't know about the built in super jump. I can't imagine anyone dropping BC BC at, especially with nanyan.

If you're just having trouble switching from holding one button to another because of your controller, you can use the quick action button as an intermediate as long as you don't press a direction. Like 421A QA B. I haven't found it that useful myself, but maybe you can do more with it if you're timing is good. You could try xpadder like >>9583860
says or I think there was another good program.

>>9584094
A variant of the combo with the 5BB s.j. involves cancelling the 5BB with 22C then doing a normal jump into aerials.
2A 2B 2C 5BB 22C j.BC j.BC AT
You can buffer the 22C as soon as you input that second 5B, I think, then once you see Nanaya crouch, hold up and he'll jump at the earliest moment. This is apparently more reliable if you can get it down, but the timing is kind of tight.

F-Riesbyfe is about as simple as it gets and has great range on her normals. H/F-Aoko are simple and have decent mobility. F-Tohno is a good, simple, "well-rounded" character. Really, most characters have at least one relatively "easy" moon with Miyako being one of the few exceptions

Are you sure? F-Miyako with her same old everything into 5k isn't easy?

nvm, not really worth playing with those spikes. its really annoying when you have the match winning combo and then a spike messes it up.

Yes, I'm sure. Are you going to recommend H-Kohaku to a beginner because she can 50-50 into 4k?

There was one, I was about to kill you and then a spike happened, not talking about the most recent spike.

No... I was more commenting on your statement on easy moons. I'm failing to see how Miyako is an exception, is all.

gg, that was enough humiliation for now. I'm getting slightly frustrated, sure sign to stop right there.

What worries me most is that I can't get my better combo on you. Also I forget to do some little things that would make some of my moves more safe to use. I just can't get it right. Well, maybe one day...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to our next games.

Midscreen : 2A 5B 2B 5C 2C delay 214B, dash 2A 5C jBCA jBC AT

Midscreen 100% meter : 2A 5B 2B 5C 2C delay 214B, dash 2A 5BB 22C 236C 2C 214A > oki with 50/50 mixup on SJ fastfall

Corner or near corner : 2A 5B 2B 5C 214B 822 214B 2C 5BB 22C > aircombo or 236C 2C 214A

Those work in every circumstance on every character (even the nekos). There's no reason to do scrub combos like 2A 2B 2C 5C aircombo.
Try to land those with 100% success on delay 5. Good for you if you manage to, but you probably didn't know them anyway...
