Comiket starts in 2 days.

Is /jp/ doing another get together this time around?

I'm going, but I'd prefer not going it alone since it'll be my first time.

Well, I haven't yet noticed any calls for a /jp/ meetup this comike, so I'll just throw this out. If someone else is already organizing one please link to the thread.

I'd like to break the tradition this year and hold the meetup on day 3 instead of day 2. I don't have anything to do after Comike or on Monday, and I'd rather hang out with people on a night when I don't have to worry about getting up early the next day.

If anyone is interested in holding a meetup on day 3, I would propose the meeting place to be by the big saw, and the time to be around 16:00 (4:00 PM).

Email: c82jpmeetup@gmail.com

I will do my best to coordinate a meetup for those who email me. I'll post again on /jp/ with details tomorrow, or the next day maybe. I will put the word harbl in my post to make it easy to search for.

Thanks /jp/, and happy Comike.

I queued overnight during C81. Even with three layers of clothings I almost froze to death. If you queue overnight, summer is a LOT better. Just remember to bring lots of water. Just like you, the limited set that I wanted got sold out just as there were only few people left in front of me.

Do you mean this one?
http://www.typemoon.com/information/image/2012/towel.jpg
It seems to be a towel. I have a friend going in with a ticket to buy my doujins for tomorrow, and I'll be heading over at around 10:30 to pick them up, after which I'll be lining up to go to the corporate area, and hitting a corporate booth or two of my own. If that towel is the kind of thing that will still be around past noon or so, I could probably pick one up for you, but if not, it'll be hard. I don't have a lot of personal experience with the TM booth so I can't really say, but I know that sometimes their stuff sells out really fast... if you're not going to comike at all tomorrow, I can try to get one for you if I can, and I will let you know if I fail, before tomorrow night. If you're going yourself, it'd probably be best if you bought it yourself... But, if you want me to try and buy it for you, email c82jpmeetup@gmail.com before tomorrow morning and I'll do my best. No guarantees though. Also I realize this message is pretty late already... sorry.

I actually live off mainland Europe. Forgive me for thinking those prices were insane but after researching prices from the east coast I now see that they are about 1200+ cheapest.
What can I say other than that sucks. Prices for me are around 900 upwards. I actually just found one for 850usd.

>> No.9547123

>>9547091
Oh, that explains it. European airtravel seems much cheaper, especially when you factor in the overall quality of the flight too.

But yeah, not a whole lot you can do about it other than bend over and take it. Since the person I was originally responding to was asking what it'd cost for an american to make to trip, I think that figure still holds mostly solid. At least when factoring in all the odd charges you can accumulate, such as a $150 handling fee for that empty dufflebag you brought as your only luggage. I think it's better to have that extra padding factored in, rather than having it eaten out of your porn budget unexpectedly.

IIRC, the corporate booths are on a separate catalogue, and you need to visit their website to know what they're selling.

For corporate booths, it's best if you can get what you want during the first day. Not many of them stock for the second day. Even if they do, it's probably way less than the first day.

Also, some of them opens preorder before and after the event on their (or third party) online shops. If the goods you wanted will be sold online later, I suggest don't waste your breath.

You cant be that ignorant.
Touhou is just a small thing in comiket.
Comiket is actually dominated by shit like naruto, bleach, wanpiss, reborn and god know what other boyXboy.
The only reason you think comiket is all touhou is because we only post about it /jp/. Do you know that the fujoshit fandom has been complaining non stop about touhou encroaching on their turf? Once ZUN stops making touhou, comiket will be filled by fujoshis.

Ok I didnt go on day1 so I will just describe the layout for day2.

There are 6halls on East side. If that anon is right about 6 being touhou, so 4 & 5 are for fujoshis.
3 is 100% Touhou. 2 is for cosplay shit, you can see all lenfried fans lining up for heruheru3 and you can see girls wearing very revealing wresting clothes and other cosplay stuff.
East 1 is misc stuff, books, handmade crafts and other stuff.
Now lets move on to West1, 100% vocaloid.
In between West1 and West2, you can see get music, movie, games non touhou/original.
But the some of the huge popular circle will be in West like those breakaway Iosys circle.
West1 you get mostly yuri stuff and the extreme left you get to see your obaasan and aunties.

Now if you consider day1 as fujoshi day, what do you think about touhou presence in comiket?
