So I became somewhat of a hikikomori around 2 years ago. I dont go out much and I prefer to be alone inside.
I havent been doing much exercises after I graduated highschool so
now I'm starting to worry about my health since I know staying all day sitting is not good for me at all.

What are the downsides on your health by being a hiki?
Should I do pushups of something or maybe purchase a cheap treadmill ?

>> No.9533065

How can you be "somewhat" a hikkikomori?

>> No.9533070

Read the /fit/ sticky.

Exercise will probably make you feel better if you keep at it, so it's worth doing if you can be bothered.

>> No.9533080

You should do work outs but try to focus on body groups such as one day you do chest and the other you do legs ect

>> No.9533081

A treadmill is a good idea if you want to stay inside, yes.

yoga and /fit/ (diet incl.)
you'll be already more healthy than those poor people who need to sit 10 hours a day doing something they don't like

hard to start, i know.

>> No.9533095

The stereotypical hikki life means a lot of sitting around, not doing much. Try some cardio exercises that get your heart pumping and blood flowing to counteract some of the risks. Running, jumping rope, elliptical cycle are good examples of cardio.

You might have some weight gain too, and a light exercise regime will help get on your way to a better, healthier weight. First build up stamina with a steady cardio regime, then get started with actual exercise. Push-ups, ab curls, sit-ups. If you don't suffer social anxiety consider joining a local gym as there are plenty of people willing to help you get healthier without judging you or your appearance. Everyone is focused on themselves and everyone was new one day.

I have no idea what I'm talking about, but I think at the very least cardio will help you avoid potential heart disease from doing nothing all day.

Get a bicycle.
Find some hidden wood with no people.
Cycle around there, feels the fresh air and enjoy the tranquility.

>> No.9533109

remember OP, a hikky can be fit and still be a hikky. you'll feel much better being a healthy hikky, than being a hikky that feels sick all the time, since you'll be in all sorts of misery and pain - your body's way of telling you that it's not in homeostasis.

you can stay indoors all you want if you get a simple home gym set. it might cost a bit of autismbux, but in the end it's better than going outside to exercise, or feeling like shit. treadmill, weights set, these will help. don't forget to eat properly and sleep well too though.

>What are the downsides on your health by being a hiki?
Depends on your genes and your personal habits, I guess.
I'm personally at almost perfect weight, and my muscles are acceptable too. Only my stamina is pitiful.
If you are worried, go to a professional fitness studio and have them test your cardio values. If they are bad, then you can think about ways to change your daily routine.

Switch hands regularly when masturbating. Or you'll end up with a very big right arm.

>> No.9533165

>>9533155
My non-masturbating hand is actually the stronger one, because it's generally the supporter.
(as in: one hand holds heavy objects, the other one does the dextrous stuff).

>> No.9533179

If you don't want to go outside, get a treadmill.

If you can go outside, run for about an hour a day. I like doing it at 3 or 4 AM, when there's absolutely no one awake and I don't have to suffer the Sun. I've been doing so daily for 4 months and I've never run into anyone.

Running is the best exercise to avoid potential heart and muscular problems. Your stamina will improve a lot too.

>> No.9533187

>>9533155

Not really, but if you don't switch hands, you'll end up with a weirdly curved cock, like mine. Not that it matters, I'll only even use it for masturbation and robot loli pussy if they are invented in my lifetime.

I was asked just today to apply for incapacity for work.
Doesn't mean I'm physically less able than other people though. Just recently finished a climbing course (without any training at all) that, as the overseer told me, even policemen and firefighters would usually fail.
Maybe the public servants around here are just fat losers though.

This is good advice. Running late at night or early in the morning feels really nice. It's like I have the whole world to myself.

Don't start training too aggressively at first, Anon. If you've been as sedentary as I was, your body will need time to get used to all that strain and running is pretty hard on your joints. I could barely walk after my first workout and then totally fucked my knee up shortly thereafter. Took two weeks before I could run again.

Why would you even read the /fit/ sticky? Long story short they say eat less and workout. Why don't you get much stronger without having to leave your house and then when you do leave your house you can bring your waifu with you and beat the shit out of anyone who insults you or her.

Have you even read the book? I have and can testify that it does work. Just keep wasting your time at the gym destroying you joints using unnatural machines that only build muscle and the ability to move other objects instead of how the human body has evolved, which is to throw its own weight around.
